I replaced a MacBook air and am really glad I did. This MacBook pro is fast, sleek, and perfect for my needs. Many have problems with the keyboard but I find it easy to type on.

Mac book pro is all you need, small, light and very easy to carry around for your daily computer uses

This MacBook Pro is awesome, but might not be for everyone. The main thing to consider is if the lack of I/o ports is an issue for you or not. It only comes with two USB c ports and a headphone jack, that's it! I personally decided that it would not be a big issue for me personally, but might be a deal breaker for others, depending on how it will be used. There are adapters that can give you the missing I/o ports, but they cost $60 plus and are another item to have to lug around. Pros: The Retina display is stunning, such a pleasure to watch videos and even work with text. Makes my desktop 1080p monitor look like you know what! The track pad is huge and works so well, love all the gestures. The keyboard is a new style of flat/low travel keys, but with tactile feel. The speakers sound great for a laptop, they are front firing. The case design is so good, it is a sexy work of art, no other way to describe it. It is so modern and smooth. The operating system works very well with the hardware and is great to use. The ssd is faster than any one I have ever owned and I own quite a few. The battery lasts around 8 hours or so, not too shabby. Cons: Lack of I/o ports No glowing apple on lid anymore No MagSafe charger Expensive No accessories included Can't upgrade ram This is my first Mac computer, I have always wanted one but could never pull the trigger, due to the premium price tag. So far I love it, even though it is not perfect. For me, the pros out weigh the cons and I would not feel bad recommending one to someone else. I would just make sure they are aware of the potential deal breakers.

I love the laptop. Very fast, and bright beautiful screen. Don't like the lack of ports however. Pretty pricey, but I would probably purchase again. Nice and lightweight for a college student.

I switched over to this laptop from the '08, first aluminum generation, which finally gave out on me. I love the new design and features added. I'm glad that I didn't opt for the touch bar model b/c it does not seem worth it for the additional cost. I feel like I can achieve everything the touch bar can using the hot keys and was also afraid of what would happen in the touch bar ever broke. In love with this computer!!

I have long been a fan of the Mac line of laptops, and this unit is no different - For the past few years, I have been using Mac Air's, and the portability and slim design was always appreciated as I travel much of the year. However, with storage constraints and needing a little more power, I moved back the Mac Pro... This unit is everything it is supposed ot be, but slimmer than units in the past, so even happier!

Solid laptop nice keyboard. This replaced a 2014 15" MacBook Pro and I prefer the size and light weight. I think Apple could give a little more storage for this price hence the 4 stars

I’ve never been a laptop fan but this is a dream. Maybe because it’s Apple and all my other Apple makes this user friendly. Or because I’m comfortable with Apple.

This is my first MacBook and I completely love it! Everything about it is neat, but the only turn off is that I need an adapter since it only has two USB-C ports!

I went into this purchase having done some reasearch and I hadn't had a mac in years so I was very excited to get another. I have an iPhone and an iPad and had a MacBook a few years ago so I'm familiar with them. What I don't like it that Apple still has not allowed users to use ANYTHING about buying an adapter. This drove me nuts and ultimately I returned the item after a few weeks because the price point is just not worth it. The weight is good and the design is beautiful but I just could not justify this purchase.

This new Macbook has received a lot of slack for removing ports and creating a need for adapters and additional dongles. Third Party and Apple accessories have taken care of any clutter or goofy looks that might give your set up. As for the MacBook itself, it works like a charm. Fast, with a great trackpad, keyboard and display. Done with Windows and all the bloatware and additional virus protection.

This is a fast machine, long battery life, It would be great if it had one USB 3 port

Had purchased a Dell about 5 years ago and had problems from day one. After using my iPads, knew I wanted a Mac book. Got this a month ago and so far working great. Much easier and smoother to operate. Plus one third the size of my old laptop. Got the SuperDrive and had trouble with the insignia c cord to attach. Wouldn't work, but once I got the Appple cord, worked perfectly. Been very pleased so far.

At first I was unsure of purchasing the MacBook mainly because of the new USB-C ports, and especially since there's only 2 but it is worth it 100%. I rarely use the ports and going from my 2014 MacBook Pro to this new model is a huge difference. It is a lot faster and I really enjoy the new butterfly keyboard as well. I am a college student and would highly recommend this to anyone who is a student.

This is my problem with Mac Computers, they are so good, they almost last forever!! My last Laptop was purchased in 2008, I ran it hot and heavy for over 8 years, the only reason I had to replace it is because the screen failed. This new MacBook Pro is super fast, the screen is incredibly bright and sharp and the computer itself is very thin and lightweight, worth every penny I paid for it. I love it!!

After owning a mid 2012 MacBook Pro, the 2016 MacBook is a godsend! The new Pro is much easier to haul around at about 3 lbs (as opposed to 4.5 lbs for the 2012 Pro). The screen, processing speed, speakers, and trackpad are all improved in comparison as well. Of course, the build quality is top notch so I expect to have this laptop for at least a few years and probably more as a back up.

This is a great computer. I came from a PC and this is my first Mac. It takes a little while to get used to the differences but the size and weight are great. The Retina display looks awesome. The only thing that I wish was that it had standard ports other than the 2 USB C ports. I was able to rectify this by getting a multi port hub but it was another expense. All in all I love this computer.

I have been an Apple Computer user for many years and have been waiting for the refresh of the MacBook Pro line for several years. When this came out I was rather disappointed, but thought I would go ahead and buy it anyway because the cost of the other MacBook Pro seems rather excessive. I loved the screen quality, but just could not get used to it only having two ports ... and both were USB-C. I know I could get dongles, but for the price of this machine there should be at least one USB port so I can plug in my accessories if I like ... like my iPhone 7!! I kept if for a few weeks but my attitude towards this computer was simply MEH ... so back it went. I refuse to pay 1500 for MEH! I hope my MacBook Air lasts a while longer!
