Terrible
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this one month ago and it has a faulty display. Best Buy takes no responsibility and will not exchange it for a good one. I have left voicemails for a district manager to call me and no one has called. I will never shop at Best Buy again.

Excellent portable laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted a MacBook Pro to replace my 2012 rMBP that was a headache. I wanted to get an ultra portable model and one without the dedicated graphics card that could give me issues like my 15 inch did. I didn't want to go overboard and spend too much. I purchased this when it was on sale for $1299. I like the size, weight and battery life. Since this is only going to be used for surfing the web, watching Youtube and possibly light gaming; this was enough. I like the keyboard and even though I do find it slightly louder to type on that a old school keyboard. I don't find myself making too many errors nor do I see any missed keystrokes. The screen is amazing and the sound is stellar for a laptop this size. The computer is powerful enough for those just wanting to do causal computer work. The only cons are ones I already knew about and had to accept if I wanted to go affordable. I wish it was 16gb ram vs 8gb and the SSD was 512gb. I also wish they had at least one legacy port. I really think it's best price is $1299 or lower. I could have gotten the 12 inch MacBook but I wanted something slightly more powerful that I knew could handle web browsing and some light gaming. I didn't go for the touch bar version because I felt it was too dang expensive, I wish Apple would have thrown us a bone and gave us the same amount of ports but I can live with only two USB C ports. I wanted to give Apple a second chance with their laptops with this purchase, I wanted something, light and portable. Most people seem to have no issues with their Macs. My Retina iMac is running like a champ and have had no issues;; so I am hoping for the same. So far I am loving this computer. I love how lightweight it is and feel very happy with my purchase. This is a great travel laptop and one that greatly compliments my 15inch Asus Zenbbok 4k laptop.

Great laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my second MacBook Pro I have purchased the 2014 base model before and I decided to buy this one because of the design and speakers, so far I'm very pleased with the laptop it's fast, gorgeous display and I absolutely love the sound, the battery holds as much as my older MacBook Pro so no complaints there, the only downside is the price but to be honest if you end up getting the last year model of 256gb you will end up spending the same amount of money.

Lemon Laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Must have gotten a lemon or something. Terrible battery life as it would drain 30-40% overnight when the laptop was closed. Took to Apple Genius bar numerous times and no fix. Eventually the laptop would not even turn on and the Geek Squad was even stumped. Ended up returning the laptop and got my money back. Still an Apple supporter but not sure what happened with this laptop.

Too many problems to list.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The new MacBook looks nice but that's where it stops. Battery drops to 50% from full in my first hour of work reading emails. The screen constantly flickers when playing a video full size regardless of browser. Apple support has been non existent. Don't recommend!

Screen is as fragile as an egg.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Quite dissapointed with this purchase. In addition with dealing with its erratic keyboard, the screen is also very fragile and brittle. I bought this in april 17 and currently i am not using this computer after the screen broke for a 2nd time. Oh Steve Jobs , you are surely missed. Fyi i have owned numerous apple laptops in the past. Don t waste your hard earned money.

Horrible MacBook Pro
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been a mac user for years and replaced a 2013 macbook pro for this one; I've had nothing but issues with this 2016 model: keyboarding and track pad issues (cursor will randomly jump to a different line when typing, sound quality (cutting in and out). I thought is was just a learning curve, but after looking online its a problem with this model. Avoid this one.

iPad Pro to 2016 MacBook Pro 13' Base Model
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first MacBook. I've had multiple iPad's and several Mac's. My wife needed a new (hand me down) iPad as her's was getting long in the tooth so she inherited my large iPad Pro and I bough this. For what I do it's perfect. Better typing experience. The Force Touch pad is awesome. Display is awesome. Battery life is comparable to the iPad Pro. The back lit key board and the ability to adjust the screen tilt is a plus. Full OS not IOS. I do some picture editing, spreadsheet and word processing and use it to surf, YouTube, Email Etc... I don't know if this would be the right product for someone doing CPU intense tasks (I have the Mac for that) but as a travel along it's a stylish and portable machine that does far more then my iPad Pro could and does it very well. I guess I could be critical of the lack of ports, but since I'm comparing it to the iPad Pro, even that's an upgrade.

Much better than expected.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Thin, light, and fast are the only words I have for this laptop. Coming from a 15" Macbook Pro with Retina screen, I am blown away by how much smaller Apple made everything, and even though it's obvious a 13" laptop would weigh less than the 15" variant, you really need to pick this thing up to truly appreciate it. It's bigger than a Macbook Air but weighs just as little. The screen is gorgeous. Compare it side-by-side with another Macbook, and you'll see it the difference. I can't comment on data transfer speeds, and I haven't conducted any benchmarks. What I do know is I had no problem downloading and installing Eclipse, Unity, and Android Studio with ease and in little time. Downloads from my local Wifi reached 73.3 Mbps out of the advertised 75 --- speeds which I could never reach with my old laptop. Final three things: the speakers, trackpad, and the keyboard. Sound from the speakers is adequate. It's loud but too high on the treble. Apple is advertising better bass, but it must be for the 15" models. This one in underwhelming. The trackpad is massive and takes some getting used to if you aren't familiar with the Force Touch trackpads offered in recent models. As for the keyboard, it's an absolute delight. I wasn't a fan of the 12" Macbook's keyboard. There isn't much travel as you depress the keys, but it grows on you. The new butterfly mechanism is very [enjoyably] clicky. I can't describe it other than "clicky." And it's satisfyingly so. Other than these aspects, this is still the same experience you expect out of an Apple device. Consider investing in some USB Type C adapters, though, as there are none in the box. An extra bonus that caught me by surprise: 3-years of Apple Care for this device is only $250 instead of $350.

Best of the best
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have never held a more elegant laptop in my hands or put on my lap. It is worth every penny you spend on it. Battery life is GREAT - it can last more than 10 hours if you are not doing heavy work (only surfing the web, using pages, etc). Speakers are too good - Beats aren't any better - they are so loud, and CLEAR! The LED light for each key on the butterfly keyboard is fantastic especially if you are using the laptop in low light. Now let's not forget about the display, I mean Apple never fails, but the display for this Macbook Pro 13.3 inch is incredibly beautiful and clear. Speed wise, it's super responsive and fast. Overall, I recommend this laptop to anyone who's an Apple lover, and to anyone who's looking to upgrade from the MacBook Air to this one - it's worth it.

Only purchasing because I had to.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use OS, Windows, and Linux; the best tool for the job. I needed a new device because of an environment I was working in. I am not amazed by this product. The good: - Fun color (I went with space grey). - Light-weight - Reviews and promotions say it is 130% faster, (I wouldn't notice it with the applications I am using it for). The meh: - Bigger track pad, (I have a feeling I will only appreciate it when I got back to using a smaller one). - USB-C, the way of the future so might as well adjust. The Bad: - Expensive, especially given the dated components inside. - The keyboard, I am not a fan, to the point where I question whether there is something functionally wrong with it. - Boring. This model doesn't have the touch bar, nor does it have a touch screen, color back-lights, or basically anything cool or interesting. It really reminds me of the 90s when computers were meant to be boring, which just doesn't feel very 'apple'.
