I purchased this mac book pro as an excellent "open box" item and have had a number of issues with it. I have had to call apple support several times to address them. On top of that I found out from Apple that open box items from Best Buy are traded differently for support dates. They use the original date when the item was first sold. In my case it took 3 months off my warranty. This isn't made clear on the Best Buy website. Be careful purchasing open box items from best buy.

Please note, I am not reviewing the product but my experience at Best Buy. I bought this laptop from Best Buy store few hours back. I bought an open box which was Geek Squad certified. I got this for $100 less which I thought was a good deal. If it's certified and tested by technicians there shouldn't be anything wrong with it, right? Wrong!!! The laptop didn't even boot up. All I could see is a folder icon blinking on the screen. I will go and return it tomorrow. I would request Best Buy to get their open box product tested before putting it up for sale. Btw, the 13 inch space gray looks beautiful! Sorry, I wasn't able to test it out, so can't provide any feedback except for the looks.

When Mac comes out with a new "Pro" laptop, be ware. This model does not connect to ANYTHING without new USB 3 adaptors. This is not a professional computer.

Received a defected item! The left shift key does not work once it arrived, hard to believe that I bought a defected expensive item. Bestbuy should make efforts on quality control. Also called the bestbuy consumer services for help, and they said I would be charged for the repairing of the hardware. Think I have to bring it to Apple Store, very very disappointed!

I have now returned two of these new MacBook Pros because of faulty keyboards. The first one the spacebar stopped working. The second one the period stopped working. The third time I am buying the older model. What a pain.
