We were looking for a new PC for our college kid as her old one from high school was on its last leg. With the help of custom service employee it the computer department, who was great and happened to be named Sheldon, we chose a Mac Book Pro. It's great, lightweight so it's easily carried to classes and the coffee shop. So far easy to us and local service in Best Buy #227 is great.

The MacBook Pro is a fast and lightweight computer. I would prefer there was a USB connection, rather than having to use an adapter which sticks out like a sore thumb.

Great laptop, battery life is amazing. Only thing is I don't understand why there isn't a single USB port... let alone an hdmi one so you do need an adaptor for that.

Since I am new to Mac for laptops it has been a great experience and some getting used to. I love how easy it is from startup to shutdown, navigating, and how user friendly it is. If you are an android person and love how powerful you phone is, let me just say this MacBook Pro without touch bar is the same thing. It packs a lot of power and functionality to get whatever you need to done.

So this is the cheapest Macbook Pro you can get these days. It's a good computer. Looks and feels nice. SUPER long battery life. But expensive and very difficult to repair. Impossible to upgrade. BBuy had a $250 off sale happening and it's still practically twice as much as a comparable PC. This sits in my nightstand and I use it when I need to look something up real quick in bed. I also watch Netflix and such on it when my wife's asleep. For those purposes it's fine. Nice, but who know if it's worth the money. Apple is basically daring anyone unwilling to spend 2k every 3 or so years to go elsewhere.

Went from a 2010 MacBook Pro to this. I like the speed boost and it's so light.

light weight ,fast good screen does everything I would want a computer to do

I replaced my 2013 MacBook Air with the 2016 MBP 13" non touch model. It weighs the same as my old MBA, and that's an incredible thing. I docked one star for the following reasons: Magsafe - Come on Apple. You could have found a way to do this and keep USB-C at the same time. No USB-A. I have to use a $10 dongle that gives me HDMI, USB-A and type C. We are not in the future yet. I have thumb drives and it is an inconvenience to have to deal with it. Despite these reservations, I highly recommend it. It's an excellent computer. The screen is fantastic and quite an upgrade from my 2013 MBA.
