I bought this laptop to replace my MacBook Pro 13" Mid-2010. I miss the parts Apple hasn't included in this computer (CD drive, USB slot, SD card slot), but getting slim adapters for when I use those functions hasn't been difficult. The computer is very lightweight and fast. The images on the screen are very crisp looking. I am very happy with my purchase.

I have had about 15 Macs since they were first released by Apple, and this one is my favorite. It is durable, fast, and up-to-date.

After eight years, I'm in need of a new MacBook Pro. Here's to another 8 years, hopefully. This machine is fast and sleek, with the only downside being that you need a dongle to connect your USB, but that's not all bad, as the single works great (separate review) and comes at a very decent price (especially if compared to other apple accessories).

Purchased this model after having bought my last MacBook Pro in 2009. Would definitely recommend upgrading if you're looking for something faster and sleeker. I got an "open box" Geek Squad certified model due to not wanting to pay full price knowing it would work just as good. I opted not to go with the No touch bar model, but for the price I think it definitely should have been included on this model. It is lighter to carry around, has a faster startup and I loved the new butterfly keyboard which I think is better than the one on previous models.

I use to have the old MacBookPro, and found it was very heavy. I use it to go to university and other stuff. Im so happy now that this one is much lighter. Keyboard is different, feels strange in the beginning but you get use to it quickly. My new MacBookPro doesn't have the touch menu bar, and it feels just fine. Excellent computer!

had a 2008 macbook. This one is so improved over the old unit. Love the battery life, the back lit keyboard and the new speakers that play load enough to actually hear that lecture you were trying to listen to. The picture display is awesome. My only frustration is that I can not seem to get the glass clean; it always looks smudged to me.

Bought a new MacBook Pro. Absolutely flawless from looks/design to functionality. Wouldn’t expect anything less from Apple!

Just wanna start by complementing the Best Buy staff, they were extremely helpful and provided great service. The MacBook Pro is outstanding. You have to buy an adapter to have USB, hdmi access. That's the only downside but it grows on you due the amazing processing speed, amazing graphics and it's so light for a MacBook Pro! Great buy.

The new MacBook Pro is so capable of editing pictures, videos and etc. coming from a 2010 MacBook Pro, you can definitely see and feel the difference in performance. Everything is much smoother and quicker in the new one. The only draw back is the ports, but with everyday use you wouldn't really be needing your dongles that often.

I mostly use my laptop for school work in college. I am also an avid gamer, specifically to Elder Scrolls Online. I was caught off-guard to realize that this computer can handle the game with ease even on high settings overall. it ran an average of 30FPS which is playable enough. If I removed the water effects it goes up to about 35-40FPS. Only thing is, the fan turns on while I am playing which is normal. I'm surprised it doesn't sound like an airplane taking off and it's more like a light whirring noise. I know not everyone looks at this laptop for gaming purposes but I wanted to give insight from a gamer's perspective in order to provide people a new idea of just how powerful the laptop is. Again, I only play one type of MMORPG since I spend most of my time on other things. The fact that it can even play a demanding game is what makes the laptop a top pick to buy for any kind of use.

I really like this computer. I had to buy it to replace a larger mac book pro that had Been damaged beyond reasonable repair. It runs incredibly smooth and the display is awesome. So far, the flash memory has worked out well. My only dislikes are the new connectors and the dongles that you have to purchase to connect older hard drives. Or to HDMI.

New to Mac, been an iPhone and iPod user and it's taking a getting used to. Like the speed and size. Don't like the USB-c ports only.

The Mac Book Pro is an awesome notebook. It's fast and lightweight and the battery life is excellent. The display is amazing - in some ways better than my 21" iMAC. I also thought the USB type C ports would annoy me but they don't. I purchased a multipart adapter and no problem. The product is pricey but it offers a lot.

This is my first laptop. I've waited a long, long time. Honestly I wish I would have not waited so long to make the switch from a windows desktop to Mac laptop. I love the freedom it provides. Moseley it sync with all my other Apple devices. The 13in. Screen really surprised me, large clear screen. Absolutely love it!

This is a great, easy to use computer that is very fast. This new version is thinner than previous editions so it's very light.
