I made the switch to the Macbook Pro simply because the PC market is severely lacking in build quality and software optimization that affects battery life drastically. So far, I like everything about the Macbook Pro, except Apple's decision to only put 2 i/o ports on it.....wtf Apple, wtf. USB C is very nice, but really, give me more than two, dongle's can be utilized but it keeps the system from being 100% streamlined. Other than that, the build quality, keyboard travel and overall "usability" of the notebook is great. I use it for school mainly and traveling so the battery life is a major plus. I also dual boot Windows for things that remain still very difficult for OSx wrap it's head around....like accessing .gov sites.

What else comment can be, but good (or excellent) for Macbook, as a review. It was my first time to buy Macbook, never used it before. I bought it for my wife's Christmas present to replace her old and cheap HP laptop, which gets slower and slower. My wife's comment after a week use is that she felt excited to play with new electronics for the first time. Good product (except still expensive). But if it lasts more than 5 to 7 years without slowdown like Windows-laptops, it may be worthy for investment.

This Macbook is perfect for students. Lightweight and handles pretty much any workload from editing documents to video editing.

Wife uses it for college, and has had no issues! Great battery life, and it's able to handle all the programs she throws at it!

I bought this as an iPad Pro replacement. I am pretty much all in with the Apple eco system as I use the iPhone and Apple TV. I initially tried to use the larger iPad Pro as my home computer replacement ... but I am not much of a fan of some of the apps. Overall very happy with the machine. The display has great resolution and the touch pad works well. I debated getting the 15 inch model, but happy that I stuck with the 13.3 inch model. I am a software engineer so I spend my days on a computer .... and part of the rationale for buying a Mac is simply that they work and have been very reliable for me in the past. I just want a reliable computer when I'm home from work. I was a little leery about the smaller hard drive size (256GB) but I am using cloud storage more and more so not a big deal. If you have USB devices you better get a USBC adapter. My suggestion is do some research on these adapters to make sure it will be compatible with whatever devices you want to connect. I know MacBook Pros are a bit pricey but I have never had a Window laptop last more that 3 years whereas my Macs have lasted well over 6 years before I replaced them.

The MacBook Pro has a very stylish design complimented by high quality built material. It’s very easy to use and user friendly MacBook. The screen is sharp and having very good resolution. The keyboard is easy to use with soft buttons. Overall a great MacBook with stylish design and value for money.

Much better charging device with replaceable cords. Good screen and battery is excellent. Very light weight and clean design. I have used the computer for several weeks now and I am very happy. I have owned Macs for many years and the changes made over time give more confidence in the product.

This laptop is lightweight, soft keys and allows me to get what I need done. Stays charged for a good amount of time and has pretty good storage.

Replaced another MacBook Pro. It's nice and lightweight, but I'm not happy you now had to buy an adapter to have a USB port.

This was my first personal apple product and I love it. I hadn't casually used a laptop at home for years and this has quickly taken the place of my tab s2 as my daily driver. It's great to watch movies on, the speakers are much better than I've had on any previous laptop. The transition to Mac OS was surprisingly quick and easy. Everything is very intuitive. I like the size, it doesn't ever feel too heavy even after being on my back or over my shoulder for a couple hours at a time.

My daughter in law had an older version of the MacBook Pro, which she loved. This was purchased as a replacement for her to use in her real estate business. Apple never disappoints. It’s fast, lightweight, durable, and exceeds her expectations. Also, Best Buy salesman was helpful and knew all the different models.

Slick, slim, sleek, fast. Powerful. What more is there to say? The gold standard in terms of a laptop computer today.

My second MacBook. The first was a mid-2012 with 750 G HD. Loved it. Did everything I needed. But years of heavy use took its toll. I needed a replacement ASAP. Found this unit on sale at Best Buy. Reviews were good and ordered it. Had it delivered next day! Cud's to Best Buy because I needed it for a presentation right away. The easy part was setting it up, updating files, and transferring my old desktop to this unit. Pluses- much lighter and more compact. Super fast. Felt right at home and not like starting something new to learn. Battery life is excellent so far. Negatives- Had to get a new USB-C to HDMI adapter. My new MB-pro is 2017 model [which I found out later, after I bought it] has only two USB-C ports. Does not have the fingerprint ID. Add another $100 to get that if you need it. I was in a rush and missed that. Added the 365 Microsoft panel which is a subscription so I can work with familiar Excel, PPT, and Word. Does what I need it to do!

This Macbook is thin, light & powerful. Once accessory peripherals are purchased, connections are ultra-fast and easy. Two USB mini ports enhance the flexibility. I also purchased an exterior DVD drive which works well. Same price point as the new Surface in a sleeker package with all the Apple goodness baked in.

I wish laptops still had cd rom and usb but I’m adjusting. I hate that I had to buy a cd rom as I use it a lot and an adapter for other peripherals. Can beat Mac for performance, integrity and dependability. 4 Stars because I had to buy the adapters

First, I'm an Apple person so no comparisons to PCs. My 2010 MacBook Pro's replacement SSD went dead and although all the other components were in great shape I decided to go new. Getting 7 years from a laptop in amazing in my world. This MacBook Pro was the right combination of things for me. I worry about the lack of ports but I realized that I don't connect much to this my "work" computer. This is for going back and forth to the office or on the road. This is small in the right way. Beautiful screen. The track pad might be too big since I occasionally swipe it while typing but not a real problem. I wasn't impressed with the track bar on the other models so why waste the money on something I don't care about. Until I'm sure that I don't need the extra ports - I can't give it the full 5 stars. So a solid 4 stars from me. I'm not complaining.

This product is so lightweight that it barely makes the lead of your carry on noticeable. I love all the new features is cones with. They keypad and mouse track pad requires such a light touch. The design is compact and sleek. The display is sharp as a razor. I'm really happy with this purchase.

MacBook Pro has a wonderful, crisp display, and using it is intuitive. Light-weight, easy to use and an excellent example of Apple at its best. The USB ports now are USB-C ports, so be sure to purchase an adapter when you buy a new MacBook Pro. The sale price was even better. Enjoy!
