Buying and owning Apple computers is a form of commitment that is unique in the world of consumer technology. The 2017 (release year) MBP 13" as configured here is the best blend of performance, usability and price in the entire lineup of their portables today for most of the world's users. At 3lbs - it's heavier than my old MacBook 12" but not enough to be a distraction. The retina screen and general configuration allow this MacBook to feel quite snappy in doing all of my daily creative work and light programming. Battery life is phenomenal as is the traditional keyboard layout without TouchBar! The duo core i5 is plenty fast for my business. The newer 8th Gen Intel quad core chips use much more power which is shorter battery life. The butterfly keyboard takes a day to get used to and then you never think about it. Relative to the new MacBook Air. This is faster, more powerful - a much better screen and basically at the same price. Happy to have it in my bag - so will you.

This one purchased to replace my previous Apple Macbook that quit after approx 5 1/2 yrs of service. Very similar to my previous device. Newer type connections and juries out deliberating as to what I decide. This one is smaller, lighter with improved portability to pack up and take with me. Salesperson told me there are no moving internal parts so I’m hoping for improved durability over the long run. It seems a bit faster than my previous model but hey..it’s new. Seems though Space gray does show fingerprints more, so wiping down daily.

This computer is light weight and I love how fast it is! What I especially love is the smaller form factor and space grey color. The touch bar takes some getting use to but once you use it enough you get to really enjoy it. I wish it had more ports but overall it is a premium computer that shouldn’t disappoint.

Why would a die hard PC user for 15 years go to a Mac? Windows 10 is the reason I switched. Do I have any regrets switching to a Mac? Yes, I wish I would have switched SOONER! The MacBook Pro 13 inch is such a quality product. The screen is super clear, the colors are vibrant and the images are so smooth. I love the new keyboard. I like the very short key travel and yes it is a little louder, but its a small price to pay. I love how fast the battery charges. I will plug it in and come back in a half hour and I can get 30-35% battery life in such a short timespan. The battery life is excellent too because you can get a good work day of use out of this with normal settings. The start up speed is exceptional. It only takes a few seconds to start up. The Mac OS is so much easier to use than Windows 10. Also if you have an iPhone it is nice to answer texts on the computer, answer phones calls on the Mac and pick up your Safari tabs on the iphone. Unless Windows does quite a bit to improve the OS intuitiveness I will not be going back.

I needed a new laptop for graduate school and this one works very well. Very fast computer and easily to use. It is also lightweight and allows me to travel without carrying a bulky laptop. Highly recommend for school or personal use.

Perhapos I should ding this product a point on account of the need to buy special accessories to make use of things like a Midi cable. But I don't have the heart. I've got a docking device for my 12" Macbook which is USB-C Gen1 externally. The docking device (CalDigit) works fine and I don't anticipate running any 40Gbs devices. My older MacBook Pro is nice and it has the extra connectivity but this new 2017 beats it on thinness and weight. So I say thumbs up.

I bought this model because I gave my 4yo Air to my kiddo. This one has more storage and is faster, but the keys (newer, flatter) I'm still getting used to. I like the tactile feel and sounds. I only wish it was lighter and that the sides of the screen weren't so prone to smudges!

I have to admit, that I only bought this to be a build host for iOS application development. However once I spent a little time with it I have found myself trying to find additional uses for it. It is a great machine and the only two negatives I can say about it are that the design does come with a hefty price tag and the keyboard keys have very short travel.

Upgraded from 2011 MBA.What a different. Fast, quiet and battery life is awesome. Totally worth the price.

It is an excellent and quality laptop. It connects okay on wifi. The battery life is very good it last for many hours. It is kind of hard to learn to use but I think I purchased the best computer in my lifetime. It is small and easy to carry. I like this computer.

I would definitely recommend this; it's smooth, quick, and light, not to mention it's extremely reliable.

The only knock against this notebooks is that there are only two ports on it, and they are both usb-c thunderbolt, so you have to get all new adapters. The screen is amazing. The size is a revolution - it is so thin and light and still powerful and fast. I like it much more than I expected.

I'm very happy with my new MacBook Pro. It is so light and easy to use. Much faster than my old computer.

I have been wanting a MacBook for awhile now! And I finally jumped and bought one. It has a sleek design, lightweight, high speed, the color on the computer is hard to beat. It’s fef worth the money. Will be using this computer for college! Definitely recommend it to everyone.

The MacBook Pro is exactly what I was looking for. I bought it at a good price with 256 GB and a faster processor speed than its predecessor. It's light weight and easy to use. I purchased it primarily for editing pictures and video and look forward to doing so.

I bought this MacBook Pro for college for a great deal that I only found at BestBuy's website. It came sooner than expected and right out of the box I could see the obvious attention to build quality. As a PC builder, I understand why Macs receive criticism but the operating system is extremely quick and responsive, the screen is incredible, and the Apple experience is one that cannot be replicated. Do not criticize before you've tried it!

This laptop is sleek and light. The monitor is the perfect size. The search engine is incredibly fast. The hard drive has ample storage space. The keyboard is soft to the touch and sound. It’s great for doing school work, drawing, playing games, emails, and social media.

I've always loved Mac. Got this Macbook Pro 13" for our daughter for college. Wonderful size and only 4 pounds. She takes it to class with her for her papers and in class projects. links up with her iPhone and iPad for professional presentations. Also has very nice battery life.
