This computer works really great now after returning it a second time .The original one I had was defective .Every time I’d turn it off the screen would go purple before shutting down completely.

I bought to replace my 10 year old MacBook Pro. So far so good. I hope lasts as long as my last one.

I bought this laptop in 2020 to replace my old MacBook Air that I'd been using since about 2013, and I've been so happy with its performance. It's robust and runs my programs efficiently. I got the 16GB version with the 512 SSD. The hefty programs I use most frequently are Lightroom and Photoshop, and it operates those pretty well still. The fan gets a bit noisy when running Lightroom if I'm editing the actual photos as opposed to using Smart Previews which take up way less memory, but it doesn't seem to slow down or get too buggy despite that. Per usual for Apple products the battery doesn't last as long as I'd like it to when only using things like Chrome but it's still much better than my old Air, so I can't complain too much on that. I anticipate it keeping up with my work demands for several years more!
