Kids laptop for school

My kid had a MacBook Air for 5 years that she used from 8th grade all the way through HS. I got her this as a grad present for college. The display is amazing and she's very familiar with iOS. It has everything she needs, I also did get her MS Office because it's just a better program. But she should be good for at least the next 4 years.

So Far So Good

Got a great deal on it ($1099 + tax) and so far, it works perfect. The Touch Bar is a nice feature though I would say it's not a "must have". The only negative so far is having only USB-C ports. Time will tell if it lasts as long as the one it's replacing did.

Of course there is a great difference between the two, even though, I will continue to use my older Mac. This version is fast and I'm able to do so much with the four thunderbolt ports and Big Sur OS. I am satisfied with the purchase, so far, as it is meeting my computer needs.
