Wow and holy cow. First time MacBook user. A couple things here at first. The experience this was to get this set up was pretty wild to say the least. Things went smoothly at first and then all down hill, I tried to use the migration from one Mac to the other and the computer basically went to a black screen with the circle and slash through it. The computer lost any sort of wifi connections and I had to go through all the command boot settings on the keyboard things didn't work. I sat in front of the computer for about 6 hours and finally after getting wifi to work through a reboot about the 10th time it finally worked. I had to install Catalina and then Big Sur. Long story short after all this time I'm finally using the MacBook Pro to write this review. I wish things would have been easier than they were but they weren't, I did forget to mention the mail error when trying to log in. "user already exists" couldn't figure that out for the life of me. but again it now works some how some way. Time to learn the device ill update once I put some time into it. Thanks guys don't let this scare you. I definitely am enjoying this product. The product was open box excellent with no signs of damage. 1104$

You are reading this here on the last week of november? and want to still buy this model? guess you have been on a different planet.. intel based Mac's like this one will be obsolete in a year.. go and grab the M1 version of the Mac's they are the fastest laptops you can get in the market today, in fact Macbook Air M1 and benchmarks have shown that they beat very high end 3K + cost older Macbook Pro's.. so yes this is a differnet kind of review, but I was lucky enough to return my gone by era intel macbook Pro and get a M1 mabcook Air (ha ha who would have thought this would happen?, someone exchanging a pro with a Air right?) but seriously.. its time you head off to the section of M1 series of Mac's if you are thinking of buying a apple laptop

I love this MacBook! Good price considering it’s with touch bar and 256 GB storage for the same price as last years model without those upgrades!

I have had it for a while now. No issues besides the battery dying quickly over the years.

It’s great, screen just gave out, witch was random, so had to replace it

Although I love the new MacBook Pro for the speed and access to pages I am disappointed that it no longer has the access points for jump drives and other devices that my old one had

The old butterfly keyboard is now gone and is replaced with the magic keyboard witch types much better and as of what we know does not break

I've had this computer for about 5 months now and I have zero complaints. It is a very good and reliable computer and I recommend it to anyone who may be in college.

Got this upgrade from macbook air 2015 and loving it since 2019; only issue is battery life…

All I expected from a MacBook Pro. Not disappointed!!

horrible. battery life is bad, hinge makes crackling noises when i open and close the macbook, fan is LOUD, takes forever to charge, and so on. please invest in a windows pc. I promise you will be SO much more happy with a windows machine. please dont buy this.

Last time I had a noisy laptop was 7 years ago, Acer S7. It was so thin, it couldn't fit a proper cooler. Fans inside were thin so had to rotate at 1000rpm to move some air. As soon as you do some work, it's like airplane in the room. Had like 10 laptops since then. Nobody is trying to achieve 0.5" laptop thickness anymore with Intel i5/i3 CPUs as it's impossible. Dell, Asus, ho, whatever - all crap but at least they didn't keep repeating this mistake. Now this apple. As thin as that Acer before and exactly the same problem. Haven't hard a fan in a while even with heavy work.

Haven't noticed much of a difference between my old 2016 macbook air. Seems to run slow from the day I got it. The touch bar is kind of annoying. The track pad force click is annoying, make sure you turn that off. Also the track pad is too big, my thumbs knuckles click on things while I'm typing. Didn't have any of these problems with my old macbook air.. Only good thing is that it's more durable than the air so its good if you're moving around.

This is my last Mac/Apple Purchase. This unit has 4 USB C ports and that's it. Not one cord, peripheral, phone charge cable, that I own will work with this. You have to purchase at least $200-300 dollars worth of add ons, CD/DVD drive, USB hub with connectors, card readers, etc. The value is just not there. The support is a joke. No one at Best Buy will even begin to help if you don't have an add "Apple Care Plan" or whatever they call it. Sorry, have had enough. The Apple stores are all in crime ridden malls, the staff are completely worthless, and the phone support is an utter joke. Unless you want a hassle, more expense, and no support, just don't buy this. Im stuck with it now but never again.
