Good machine overall

Well built but for the money not much of an upgrade over her 5 year old machine in terms of performance. Lack of port options and loss of magnetic AC port is very disappointing.

I would not recommend the new macbooks

I bought my first macbook pro back in 2012 and it only lasted 2 years due to the hard disk failed. I wanted to try one more time and bought a new macbook pro on Sep 2019 because I needed it for college. The video system failed two days after I bought it, so I returned it and got a new one. The second one also had an issue - it would overheat for no reason. So I ended up returning this one as well. I did not want to risk and lose my investment $1700. I bought a Lenovo instead.

Bought my first Mac book

It constantly gets hot, and has since day I owned it. I have done all sorts of troubleshooting with apple, and nothing works. It is simply garbage and makes me think apple is going downhill. The battery reports "using significant energy" when the only thing open is Microsoft Word. Garbage.

This computer has specs of a 500 dollar computer. Don’t get fooled for the brand I ended up selling it and loosing over 800 dollars on it just after 4 months of use.

Battery swallen after just one year???!!!

Called support they told me to bring my laptop to a 1 hour away apple store that they would have changed my battery there. So I got an appointment, drove there, waited 20 minutes in line, to be told that they have to keep the computer in store for 3 to 5 days and they would give me a call when ready. Are you kidding me????? How am I supposed to work without it. I got an Apple because they were reliable, but now Apple has become a brand to avoid. Right?!
