Bought new at Best Buy had it for 2 days it overheated, took it back and got another one had it for 16 days and the last 3 days it was overheating, so took it back and got talked into the 15" MacBook Pro....had it so far for couple days, doing good so far. I am very happy with the personnel, they are very helpful & works with you to get your problem taken care of.

Would not recommend due to bad thermal design, system gets extremely hot at 97% idle. Stay Away

So this is my review after owning the MacBook Pro 13 (2018) w/ Touch Bar for only 3 days (I may update post if something major changes my mind). First thoughts... this thing is BEAUTIFULLL. I got the MBP at the amazing price of $1285 (total bargain!) It was a certified open-box with the charger and cord not even being touched so that was awesome. Customer Service was awesome. The laptop is super sleek-looking. I personally don't mind the no-glow apple logo (this is my first Mac). The setup was super easy, though I still have a lot to learn about my MBP. At first, I thought the Touch Bar would just be for looks and that I wouldn't use it that much but I find myself using it more and more AND having fun with it. My finger glides effortlessly (like a new iPhone). The Touch ID is a cool perk and makes logging on super easy. Besides the Touch Bar being a side accessory, another thing I was skeptical about was the "throttling" problem where the MBP can overheat or just get really hot. First thing I did was test this by opening 20+ tabs and things for homework. It barely got warm. My second test showed more results but I was pleasantly okay with it. I had about 10ish tabs going but 4 were long seminars for assigments, the longest being an hour long and shortest being 7 mins. That is a big load. My MBP did get a little on the hotter end but that is to be expected to tackle that load. After 5 mins of closing the hour long video tab, the MBP got noticeably cooler. One thing I do agree with when it comes to a definite con is the number and type of ports like dang... but I got a hub so I guess I will live. Another thing is the keyboard. I have heard some bad things about the butterfly keyboard but when it comes to the Version 3 Butterfly keyboard, these complaints seem unfounded. I love the feel, so far! It is nice and quiet. There is a nice, satisfying click and the keys are easy to get used to if you are used to something bigger, like me (ASUS). This review was done on the MBP and it was actually very enjoyable. Overall, this computer hasn't let me down (remember: this my 3rd day owning this so let's see what I say in a few months XD).

the touch bar is not convenient to use and the navigation is not direct

Very hard to use a mac if you have been a PC user. I find it easier to use a PC

I BEEN USING THIS COMPUTER IN THE LAST 7 DAYS IM HAVING ISSUES WITH THE BROWSER AND SOME PROGRAMS THEY FREEZE UP I HAVE TO RESTART DEVICE THE APPLE SUPPORT AT 1800 MY APPLE ITS POOR THEY USUALLY TALK TO YOU NICE . BUT WITH OUT ANY REAL SOLUTION . THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU MAKE A BIG WASTE OF MONEY

The 13" Macbook Pro will not disappoint you, this machine is perfect in almost every way. Design: It's a classic Apple design, beautiful, sleek, light, easy to travel with 5/5 Performance: As a web developer it has done everything I have asked it to do without lag or jitters 5/5 Display: Stunning, crisp, the Retina display with truetone is amazing, very easy on the eyes. Apps scale very well on this display. 5/5 Battery Life: 7-8 hours on pretty heavy usage (web surfing, multiple apps open), so I'm very pleased with the battery life 5/5 Overall, this year's Mac is perfect, I can't find anything to not like.

Amazing laptop. Anything for professional work, a MacBook is always the way to go, and for the 6 years I've had it, it ran like a champ. I will say, the battery life was only around 4hrs, and it can get extremely hot doing something as basic as streaming a movie. back in 2019, I would totally buy it again.

The keyboard had some problems. And when I open matlab, it runs very slow and ,most of the time, it had no response. The employee told me I need to wait 10 days to get a new one. But these days I did my assignments inefficiently without computer. So rubbish.

After one year and 5 months, this laptop's screen went black and will not keep a charge. We only purchase apple products; phones and computers, this is the first time I have had this happen so soon after purchase.

Great laptop for on the go and home. Would highly recommend this Mac.

I have purchased multiple macbooks. Never had an issue until this one. My son was doing his school work and 2 days after purchasing, everything went black. Disappointed at what I received for the price I paid.

I should have bought the 12". I learned the hard way. Now I have to sell it and rebuy something that suits me.

So expensive, and im experiencing what they say its called the screen of death. Completely black. Had flickering screen issues since bought

This macbook pro is still working like new and i have it for 6 years now running 7 and still working perfectly. Such a good investment

This laptop is horrible! First of all it’s too slow! And the battery does not last at all! After all the updates it still not working properly.

Absolutely useless piece of garbage, freezes, lags, and not repairable. Don’t buy it , I’m very dissapointed

It’s crash on my several time while editing YouTube vids and list a few vid I was editing for hours in.

just the keyboard sucks and I had to get it replaced at the Apple store
