I had two desktops and switched to laptops and I will never go back. Bought a Dell in 2007. It got a real bad virus. Was always a Dell fan. I looked, but i bought a Toshiba chrome book for backup and it’s a nice little laptop. My passion project is that I want do my family genealogy and I have family photos that I wish to put together into a lifetime chronologic order. I miss my parents so bad, both deceased. My family took tons of photos. This laptop was in the top five for photographers. I haven’t gotten into my project yet. My dad used to develop his own photos. A lot of my photos have faded over time. Been playing with it and this laptop can fix that. The sales guy showed where I can put music to my videos. I spent a lot more money on this laptop than that Dell, but it’s worth it. Because I have over 100 photos, you have to have the Touch Bar. That’s a necessity. I bought a new camera also. I’m in the market for a printer to print slides. Some slides were in the Bahamas. We fished for our dinner. My mom made grouper stew and conch salad and we swam at Man O War Cay. He built a cute little house on an island. My dad took photos from a plane over our island. We had a Chinese junk also. I miss all that. I’ll get my pictures out of those boxes with this laptop.

Powerful, fast, lightweight, love the Touch Bar and bright colors

This is a much better MacBook Pro compared to the mid-2009 one that was clearly showing its age; love the crisp display, form factor much thinner compared to my 2009 MBP. I don't really use the TouchBar that much but that doesn't detract from the overall usefulness of the laptop itself. That I got this on sale makes the purchase that much sweeter!

Bought they latest 2018 macpro with touch bar. Absolutely gorgeous, fast and reliable. Considered switching to Windows (Dell xps13 was best alternative) after being on the Apple ecosystem for many many years. While Windows has come a long way, reviews seemed to indicate hardware issues of aine sort or another with fan noise, heat etc so stayed with Mac.

Purchased for small business use, switched from PC to Mac to sync with other items I use. LOVE the touch bar feature, quiet keypad, solid state is FAST and talk about light weight-WOW. Can't wait to start editing photos!! I love everything about my new laptop and can't wait to learn what else will save me more time, effort and make life easier. :)

My first MacBook Pro. I can’t say I really need it yet upgrading from a 2 year old air but I love this ansdont regret the purchase. Much faster than the my air and the new touchbar I have found extremely useful for typing and spell checking as I go. I didn’t think I would use that feature much but I was very wrong. Highly recommended.

Fast processor, light weight and perfect for college use

The MacBook Pro with Touch Bar is amazing. Overall build quality is excellent and the layout of the keyboard is a really good. At first I was going to get the non-Touch Bar because a lot of reviews said it was not intuitive and just a gimmick. However, I wanted the quad core so I decided to just pay for the "gimmick bar". After using the touch bar for a week and setting up for each program I use frequently, I have been indoctrinated. It really is something you learn to use and make good use of it. I was at Bestbuy for two hours playing with the 13 and 15 inch side by side. Ultimately the 13 won me over because the screen is more crisp. I freeze frame videos and zoomed in on high res images. The 15" sounded better but that was not a deciding factor. The size for the 15" was a deal breaker because it is big. It's no longer a "laptop" at that size. If you're a gamer and need a 15-17" for screen and hardware, then that makes sense. However, the MacBook Pro is a not a gaming platform and it can't be modded therefore it's really a screen integrated desktop. So what can be better? Apple products are expensive but you know you're getting a quality product. Where they fall behind is innovation. It does bother me that I will not be able to upgrade components so that is why I purchased the highest grade I was able to afford. At this price point, it should include other Apple capabilities such as facial recognition and ability to use Apple Pen on trackpad. Also possibility with front facing camera to record directly to iMovie. Down side of this product is cooling. On average the MacBook runs cool. I can use it on my lap and don't feel any heat. Once I start playing Metro 2033 Redux, it gets hot, really hot! I presume it may be the same when rendering hi-res graphics because the process is tasking.

I upgraded from my 2013 MacBook Pro to this newer model and I’m very impress with the speed of this newer model. I really like the new look and the space gray color. This model is a lot thinner than my old one. Because is so thin, you do not have a USB port so you need to buy an adaptor for USB and a CD-ROM separately.

I love my new MacBook Pro with TouchBar. I upgraded from a 2012 MacBook Pro and I am so glad I did. The computer is lighter, faster, clearer screen, decent speakers, and longer battery life. My only complaint is that you have to buy an adapter to connect a USB. Apple really should give you one adapter for free.

I’ve been working with Macs for years, and have been through a few of them since the beginning. This is hands down the most significant upgrade I’ve witnessed in quite some time. This MacBook Pro is lightning fast, super lightweight, and looks stunning. If you’ve been waiting to upgrade, trust me now is the time.

So I had originally purchased the 2017 MacBook Pro 13" with Touchbar earlier this week due to its sale price. However, after realizing it, the newer model was only $250 more. I figured for that little price difference it would be worth it to bump up to a faster performing machine. After getting home and doing some light configurations, (Downloading Office, listening to Apple Music, and surfing the web) I noticed that the chassis were a little warm on the sides. After further inspection i reached up to the touchbar and realized it was HOT. Not warm, but very hot. After discovering this I did some googling and discovered that this is a known issue that apple has not addressed yet. Apparently the computer is getting so warm that the CPU isnt even working at its fullest capabilities. In fact, its running SLOWER than the 2017 model?? I am a loyal Apple customer, this being my 3rd Mac in my lifetime. I admire the quality and reliability of their computers, so this is a very disappointing discovery. I hope Apple addresses the issue sooner rather than later. I gave it 3 starts because the computer itself is a great improvement since the last model in terms of screen, speakers and it is quite fast (when its not overheating). I plan on updating my review once there is a fix for this issue. But until then, its 3 starts from me. Do yourself a favor and hold off on the 2018 model until the issue is addressed. If you need a computer now, the 2017 model would be just fine.

After reading online reviews and actually going shopping for a laptop (with multiple demonstrations from the salesperson). I decided to go with an Apple. User friendly, great clarity on images, light weight and every salesperson said “You can’t go wrong with an Apple product “. I love my 13” Mac Book Pro

I just purchased my macbook and I fell in love instantly. I love the display, the touch bar is awesome since it has the option of locking with your fingerprint just like the iphones. It's wicked fast and watching Netflix off it is better than watching it on the TV. I would highly recommend to everyone!

This my first Apple laptop. I’m still struggling to understand how to use it for basic daily working. That being said I have loaded all my programs and it appears to be operating more efficiently than my PC. Love the little design changes on the light bar or whatever it is called.

I went into store looking for a mac computer but also wanting something portable. The smaller size was perfect for me and the new touch bar is extremely helpful. I'm really impressed with the changes made from my previous model.

We’re only a month into ownership of this 2018 laptop, but everything is working great, and it’s considerably faster than my 2014 Apple Pro. I use the Touch Bar a lot and love the Fingerprint ID function. Got a great price at Best Buy for this year-old Apple Pro — thanks!
