I decided on the intel MacBook Pro since I was also needing to use bootcamp for part of my work. I have been a Mac user for years and my old 2009 MBP finally decided it didn't want to work anymore. I love all the features including the Touch Bar which some people haven't been that fond of.

We bought the right one!

However, the salesperson knew we were older and not terribly computer savvy. He let us buy it and leave without letting us know that we needed a device to allow us to transfer the files on our desktop. We had to drive back to the store, which required an appointment to enter, and beg to be allowed to come back to purchase the device. This could easily have been avoided. That said, we were very happy with the laptop.

Low cost MacBack Pro!

My previous model was from 2012 and was just not up to the task any more. Color me surprised when I found this on the Best Buy website as an open box item in "excellent condition" for barely $450!!! When I received the package it looked brand new. This was easily the least expensive mac product I've ever purchased!

It did take some time getting used to bc i’ve only had hp’s/ chromebooks but other than that it’s great!

GREAT LAPTOP

I'm so glad I did, the Air is a great laptop too but for my needs and budget, this laptop is great!! I had my old MacBook Pro for about 9 years and I still use another MacBook Pro that's about 10 years old, so hoping to get at LEAST 5 years out of this one! Great price when you break it down per year and quality you get out of it.

Perfect for College!

I am also a Computer Science major so having a well all-around laptop was important to me. This macbook pro checks everything off my life and is ESSENTIAL to my daily schoolwork. I highly recommend this, in face I have the base mode which gets the job done easily! I am so glad the storage is 256gb instead of 128gb and the touch bar is pretty neat! I really love using this and do not regret a single thing!

Great laptop if ur not crazy about specs

The screen is absolutely beautiful and the new magic keyboard feels absolutely amazing. Macs are great at ram optimization, so 8gb will be absolutely enough for anything you can do. Gaming on boot camp is decent because of the integrated gpu, I can run GTA 5 and Minecraft decently and stuff like that. The battery life lasts me around a day on a full charge which is great. For a great all round laptop, this MacBook is great. 5/5
