Computer was not working at all when I received it. Even though the computer was certified by geeksquad it was not reading the hard drive. I called geeksquad snd they said I had to take the computer in but most likely it would hVe to be returned. I called Apple and said I had to take the computer in. So I had to get and expert and help me fix it and I was able to. But what is upsetting is that I paid top priced for an Item that was certified and supposedly no issues at all and it was such a bad experience.

Great computer if you’re willing to pay the heavy price tag. Overall I’m satisfied with the purchase and am confident in using my MacBook Pro for years to come. This model doesn’t have the M1 processor, but it still runs like a champ. Works great with Microsoft OneDrive and Office for my University, so getting schoolwork done on my MacBook Pro is easy and efficient. I know a lot of college students are concerned about using a Mac for schoolwork because Office apps haven’t worked the best on MacOS in the past, but it works great for me and is just as easy to use as my Surface Pro. I love the iCloud Drive features and having the ability to access files/documents on my Mac from other devices, especially if I forgot to put my schoolwork into OneDrive. The OS runs fast and the computer can handle anything you throw at it. Multitasking works great. Very powerful performance and the battery life is great too. The pressure-sensitive trackpad took some getting used to (I am coming from a Microsoft Surface), so it was challenging to figure out how to highlight text without activating the force touch commands. Keep in mind I’m relatively inexperienced with MacOS and personally have only owned PC’s. The speakers on this MacBook Pro are incredible for a laptop, and playing my Spotify music from the computer is a great experience. The screen quality is fantastic as well, and using split screen on the 13” display is decent overall and works well for most tasks. The brightness gets up there when you need it and it still looks fantastic. The Touch Bar on the keyboard is cool and helpful (mostly), I love how it works synchronously with the active application or webpage. However I had to dig around inside system preferences to set it up so that I have easy access to the original MacBook controls which usually sit up there on the keyboard (by holding Fn key). The reason I was wanting to do that was because it will still minimize the menu of the classic MacBook buttons, even when the current app/task doesn’t have its own special controls for the Touch Bar. But once I got that down, I find the Touch Bar to be convenient and helpful for things like scrubbing through a video or audio clip to fast forward or rewind, accessing text controls while typing, quickly ending a call, and other app-specific controls. I don’t find the Touch Bar to affect battery life in any significant way, which was a concern initially. The keyboard is great to type on and it’s enjoyable to get some typing done. The backlight on the keyboard is awesome and looks as good as anything else I’ve used. My biggest complaint with the keyboard is that the keys get really greasy-looking pretty quickly when using. The Touch ID is fast, accurate, and by far the best fingerprint reader I’ve used on a laptop. The FaceTime camera looks great and the mic sounds great too. I can answer phone calls from my iPhone or make a FaceTime on my Mac and the connection is always strong and call quality is great. Same goes for Zoom/Microsoft Teams calls. Handoff from my other Apple devices works well, and my iMessages and other notifications catch up with my phone quickly. Only having two ports on the entire computer was a pain at first, but I got used to it, and having the USB C to USB A adapter is a must have. The computer can charge my phone or iPad sufficiently and doesn’t compromise the performance of the computer or DRAIN the laptop battery like I’ve experienced with others. The computer itself feels sturdy and premium quality, and looks great too. To sum up, most of these are typical strengths of an Apple device, but the computer is fantastic to use for work, school, and everyday usage

Do not buy an open box Apple Macbook Pro because it doesn't even work. Mine came without the charging cable and the power AC had to buy separately. Then after just two days after the purchase, it stopped working all of the sudden.

I bought my MacBook to help me out during my upcoming Paramedic Academy. The slim design and ease of use was convenient as I was able to carry it around with ease as well as it never took up much space on my deck or backpack. I credit my success in paramedic school to being able to access everything I needed through this MacBook! I 10/10 recommend. My MacBook it 3 years old and still running as fast and efficiently as it did when I opened it out of the box!

I got my new MacBook Pro Few months ago and could not be more happy with it. This machine is absolutely incredible in terms of speed, looks, weight/size, display, and battery life - and texture (it feels so good against the skin on my wrists as I type) and basically anything else you can think of. I also love the space gray color, the new keyboard, the Touch Bar, and the larger trackpad. There are so many options to customize the system to work just the way I like.

I gave 5 stars because I couldn’t do a half. It is a 4.5 in my book only because of the lack of ports. If it had at least one more usb-c port it would be a solid 5. One more would allow you to connect an additional monitor while charging and using a flash drive. There are accessories that can expand this which I will look into purchasing for sure. Overall this MacBook Pro does everything that I need it to do. It is sleek looking, very lightweight, easily transportable, and has more than enough power for everything I use it for. This would be a great computer for any student or business person and is priced right!

I’ve never owned an Apple computer before this one and I’m glad that I made the switch. I love the layout, function, and ease of use of this laptop. I personally love the way it looks and how light it is as well. It runs very smoothly and quickly. The video and sound quality is great as well and I really enjoy the Touch Bar WAY more than I originally thought I would. The only cons to this computer is it’s taken some time to get used to the differences between it and my last HP but overall for my needs it’s a perfect fit! For context I’m a full time student, very casually game, and more often than not am streaming some video or music. I would definitely recommend if you’re thinking of switching to MacBook.

This is my 2nd MacBook Pro and I was originally a little frustrated because you have to buy an adapter that will allow you to use a SD card or USB. They also got rid of the cute little apple that lights up. But, I love the battery time, the trackpad is larger, and my favorite part of all is the touchbar. It's perfect! That's where all your functions are located. It will even place your text predications, the option to leave your zoom meetings, your various website tabs. I am happy with my purchase! This MacBook Pro is also slimmer and more lightweight.

I switched from a surface laptop 2 to this computer so that I could have a especially reliable computer for college. It is absolutely amazing and works perfectly! It’s slim and light but also fast and powerful. The only small complaint I have is that for the 13inch model the fans run really high and the computer can get kinda hot sometimes but overall I’ve only had that issue once or twice.

My 2011 15in MacBook Pro finally died some weeks ago, and I knew for my next Mac I wanted to transition to a 13in for the portability. I decided to purchase the new 2020 13in base model MBP, and I really love this computer! The screen is so vibrant and gets really bright, the speakers are awesome and can fill up a room, it's fast between opening app, and the new Magic Keyword is incredible to the touch. I know some people are upset about the lack of updated internal specs within the base model, but this is still a fantastic machine. The MBP can easily handle the usual suspects of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Netflix, Spotify/Apple Music, and multiple tabs of Google Chrome like a champ. If you want bit more power than the MacBook Air for photoshop, video editing, or even handling zoom meetings, the base model MBP is for you. The 720p camera does stink, but that is literally my only complaint. The 2020 base model MBP is a great computer. Also, for the 4 months of Apple Music, some people have been saying it's only 1 month. It's 1 extra month tacked onto the 3 month free trial you already get if you are a new subscriber.

This is a a typical Apple computer: easy to use with great quality for the price, long battery life, lightweight for Pro design, fast, and good looking device. I am not a software engineer so you can read more about the details online but I can say one thing: You will not regret if you purchase it. I currently switched from being a PC owner and I don’t think I will go back unless I have to.

I love this laptop! It's the perfect size for me to conduct business on: Zoom/Facetime meetings, iMessage, support of Microsoft 365, Gmail, and other universal business tools! The battery lasts me a solid 6 hours if in constant use, and about a full day of infrequent use. This isn't ever an issue, as it comes with a super fast 60W charger and 6' USB-C to USB-C cable! The performance is incredible, even if I have multiple apps open and running at the same time. Photos, graphics, and videos look amazing on this Retina display (2560 x 1600). Utilize an adapter for HDMI, USB, USB-C, and SD card ports; if you're using the Macbook Pro on a tabletop, you won't even feel the difference! At just about 3 lbs, this laptop is extremely lightweight and portable, too!

Upgraded from a late 2012 MBP

This is a huge upgrade from my Late 2012 15" MBP that finally turned into a blue screen and would never turn on again. I love it so much and I am so glad I got the newest pro instead of settling for an Air like I really did not want to do. I also just ordered the newest iPad Pro and Apple Pencil which I am super excited about. Things I love: The speakers on this thing are incredible. I love the space gray color. I love the new keyboard and trackpad. I love the cool Touch Bar. The display is 10/10. Battery life is good. Small and portable. I use it for college, YouTube, shopping, everyday use kind of stuff. Things I don't love (why I knocked off a star): I miss the light up apple logo on the laptop lid, but I don't see it when I am using it so this is the least of my worries. What I really don't like is the charging cable. I was aware of the no ports issue when I bought the MBP. The charger is half the length of my old MBP (I know you can buy an extension but why would I want to do that?). I hate that its not magnetic like my old MBP. I hate that it doesn't have the little light that shows orange or green when its plugged in for charging. I also miss the little light on the front edge of the old MBP that would softly flash when my laptop was closed. I never turn my MBP off, I always just close it because I use it so often. That little helped me know if it was dead or not right when I took it out of my backpack. It just feels like they cheaped out in those areas. All the stuff I miss are things that made it feel luxury and not like other brands. Also don't love that it took 10 days to ship to the store. I am taking summer courses and my other MBP died right in the middle of a quiz. Thankfully I have great friends that let me use theirs while this took 10 days to ship! Overall I really love it. It is my pride and joy and was a college grad gift to myself. I wouldn't trade it for any other (I mean unless it was the bigger one, haha)!

Really nice MacBook, but Aple should've included at least 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD, consider those are so cheap. Why charging $400 so much to upgrade from 8GB/256GB to 16GB/512GB....

My other/old laptop is getting to be about 8 years old and is slow, laggy, outdated etc. Get anxiety just using it for how much is freezes and lags. Instant loss of that anxiety with this new laptop. Everything is easy to use, fast loading, etc. Takes about 5 seconds to start up the computer from being shut off. The new(to me at least) keyboard features like the touch bar are nice and easy to get used to after a few minutes of using it. Lightweight and slim. I don't know how to describe the difference in sound from the speakers on this vs my older model; but something about it just sounds different. Only thing keeping this from 5 stars for me is that they got rid of all of the ports/plug ins other than the obviously mandatory power and also the headphone jack. I had to purchase an adapter to plug in just to be able to have USB access. Other ports that people may want/need like HDMI etc are also missing, but available in that adapter purchase. Was annoyed that I had to spend more money on something that should have been in the computer already, but that's my karma for laughing at iPhone users losing headphone jacks or whatever that was a few years ago. It's still a good computer; I'll live.
