I regret waiting so long to switch from Windows to a MacBook. For years, I avoided it because I assumed the different systems would be difficult to adjust to and wouldn’t meet my needs for school, work, and business. Instead, I kept “investing” in high-end Windows laptops, only to replace them year after year as their performance quickly deteriorated. Looking back at the money I wasted makes me sick. The difference in quality between the two systems is night and day. After spending some time on my boyfriend’s MacBook, I realized I wasn’t even touching my stack of Windows laptops anymore. That’s when I knew I had enough experience to make the switch confidently. Another big draw for me was the seamless integration with my iPhone and other Apple devices. For example, I had an old iPad that I couldn’t reset despite countless failed attempts with iTunes. As soon as I plugged it into the Mac, it was resolved in minutes. I was blown away. The device itself is incredibly user-friendly, and Apple even provides a guide to help with the transition from Windows. My only minor annoyance so far is not being able to split windows with a quick shortcut like on Windows, but to be fair, I haven’t researched if there’s a workaround yet. I bought my MacBook Pro 14-inch M4 during Florida’s tax-free week in August, which capped at $1,500. I originally wanted the larger screen, but the price exceeded the allowance, and honestly, saving hundreds was worth sacrificing a bit of screen real estate. I couldn’t be happier with this laptop. It handles all my programs effortlessly, and as a bonus, it runs The Sims 4 with every single expansion pack flawlessly, something no Windows laptop I owned could manage no matter how “powerful” it claimed to be.

Had a macbook air m4, and traded in for the same spec ( 512gb and 16gb ram) in the macbook pro. I prefer the better screen quality for the amount of time I spend looking at it as I do software development and I primarily use a windows desktop that is also my gaming rig. I got this to work with macOS as I am primarily going to be in the python space and I am enjoying mac for this so far. Mac’s feel extremely premium for the chasis and even the keyboards on their laptops, but the macbook pro feels a step above the air’s and I enjoy the sturdier feeling of the mbp on comparison. The battery life is PHENOMENAL for the power these laptops have! Getting used to macOS is not terrible (I also have an iphone) but this is my first experience using macOS for dev work and some youtubing and google searches clear up any issues I have had with gestures or the keyboard differences for shortcuts. If you are on the fence and have the ability to, I would suggest a macbook pro. I love it

After Years of running Windows only computers and not liking what Microsoft has been doing I decided to try a Mac. The changeover was simple, it synked right to my iphone and airpods, everything works seamlessly together. I am still learning some of the quick commands but the change has been fantastic. I love that the battery seems to last forever compared to my last two laptops, the speed is crazy fast and I no longer have a life expectancy of 2-3 years for the windows machines, my co-workers with Macs are not replacing them until they get to 5+ years. Worth every bit of the cost difference to get a real upgrade.

This machine is excellent. It accesses my photos effortlessly. Aside from the Microsoft Office suite, I have combined all my software requirements with Apple applications. This is my personal device, which is not used for work but manages my daily life. Besides my iPhone, this is my most important device. Pros: The Mac provides a turnkey solution out of the box. It has an office suit and essential media editing software right out of the box. I am not a musician, but I have been told Garageband is a good basic software package for making music. The hardware is gorgeous, and the machine is clean and sleek. The screen is stunning and fast, and Touch ID is great on a laptop. Cons; Price, hands down, this thing is expensive. But they tend to have a higher resell value and longer life span than my old Windows PCs. The learning curve, coming from a Windows machine, and getting used to the new button placement and applications take a little time. However, it is overkill for my needs. Yes, I could have made do with an Air, but I wanted the M4 and the better screen. This is my only PC-type machine, and I wanted to future-proof it. I plan to keep this machine until the tires fall off.

This is basically the perfect Mac laptop for business. My main apps are MS Excel, Outlook, Zoom, and Slack. I was deciding between this and the MacBook Air. The 13" screen size of the Air was too small for me. At the same time, the 15" screen was too large. This 14" screen was just right. This laptop isn't that much heavier than the Air. Where the MacBook Pro shines is the display. The glorious 120 Hz Promotion Display simply can not be beat. The speakers are the best in the business with Dolby Atmos and Spatial Audio support. When I'm in hotel rooms on business trips this MacBook Pro is like my portable cinema theater. Just load it up with movies and tv shows before any trip and I'm good to go. 512 GB of storage is plenty large enough for all my movies and work files. The M4 processor is so fast that I feel I'm not going to need a new laptop for at least 5 years. Just get this and you won't regret it.

Buying this MacBook Pro 14" with the M4 chip was the best decision. It’s insanely fast — no lag, no freezing, just smooth all the way through whether I’m working, streaming, or editing. The screen looks amazing, super crisp and bright, and the battery lasts forever (I can go a whole day without charging). On top of that, the new Space Black finish looks so sharp in person. Every time I pull it out, it just feels premium. I honestly can’t imagine going back to anything else. Totally worth it.

Working in the IT industry, I've used Microsoft Windows most of my professional career and personal life. As of late, it feels like Microsoft has been pushing some inferior products. The August updates "was the straw that broke the camel's back." Numerous instability issues for both the OS and installed software made me get a MacBook Pro. Other than a couple of ID10T errors on my part, the OS seems to be extremely stable. Even after an update, I wasn't worried the system would BSOD. I was able to install VMware Fusion for Windows and Linux access as needed. Configuration was a breeze compared to my attempt on my Windows laptop. Both guest OS's also seem to run better as well! Listening to any audio is a great experience so far. Music plays crisp and clean, streaming movies or TV with no issues. Battery life is fantastic! Connected two 27" FHD external monitors and didn't experience the "fire hose" drain as compared to Windows laptops. If I'm on battery all day, I don't have what I'd call "charge anxiety". Keyboard is smooth, and very responsive. I don't get "finger fatigue" from typing on it all day. Screen is superb! Colors are vibrant, images are high quality, text is crisp and clean. Make for a very enjoyable experience. I bought the model with 24GB RAM and the M4 Pro chip for work needs but, I haven't had any complaints. I did buy AppleCare for insurance and piece of mind. If you're looking for a new laptop that can really "do it all", I'd highly recommend the new MacBook Pro.

Excellent computer. Display @ 120hz is amazing. Probably the nicest screen in our home. I got it on sale for $1300. I got the base Pro with 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, and the base M4. It was between this and the 15" MacBook Air with 512GB SSD. Only $100 difference between the two, and the screen was definitely worth the upgrade. Battery life is fantastic. It handles everything I throw at it with absolute ease. Definitely a great quality purchase.
