It's a great machine that gives you everything you expect from a Pro MacBook. If you need more power, definitely go with M4 Pro or M4 Max, but this basic MacBook Pro meets the need of all my coding, simulations, and editing (light, a couple minutes video).

I use my new macbook for writing software and running programs for computer science classes. Compared to the 2019 macbook I had, I see a noticeable difference and the battery life is incredible.

I upgraded from an M1 Macbook Air because it had poor battery life and low storage messages contantly. It is 10x better and a great upgrade fron my previous computer. I would highly reccomend it if you use your computer consistently.

Like the title says, it's everything you need (for most people). Very fast, great battery life, plenty of ports, comes with some really nice AI features too. Really liking the space black finish as well. The display is really the standout compared to the rest of the MacBook lineup (basically twice as bright). Definitely worth every $

I'm an Apple girl so when it came to replacing my old MAC what else would I get. It's fast, hold a longer battery charge and easy to use.

I perviously has Mac mini due to budget at the time. Great for what I needed but purchasing this MacBook was game changer. Being able to move around while it work is awesome. The Apple quality is present through out the MacBook. Sturdy, high quality materials, heavy, sleek, user friendly and aesthetically pleasing.

I debated this purchase for a long time given the price but I am so glad I decided to go for it. I've used Mac exclusively for 15 years and have always had a good experience with them. I recently started running some programs that need a little more juice than my prior MacBook Air was built for so I wanted to upgrade to something with more RAM and Memory. Considered moving away from the MacBooks due to the cost but decided against it and am so glad I stuck with Apple on this. The Pro isn't that much heavier than the Air was, the speed is unbeatable, it runs perfectly smooth, the display is crystal clear. I have nothing bad to say about it, truly.

Love this computer! I had a macbook air before this and it is not much heavier than that. The camera is crystal clear. It's fast... the keyboard is easy to use... overall LOVE this computer. I wish they had more colors available but I was in a pinch. Which by the way, the staff at Best Buy in Secaucus, NJ were AMAZING! the Manager of the store (not sure if there is more than one) helped me resolve some issues I had trying to do a same day pick up. He was very kind. The staff all around were very kind and helpful. Highly recommend going there if you need anything.

The speed and performance are amazing for everything I use it for, and the battery life is great - I used it for a few minutes every night on my week long vacation and only had to charge it on the last day. The multitasking split-screen potential is very helpful and I use it with an external monitor, keyboard, and mouse. I've had it for a little bit now and have no complaints.

I bought this computer to replace a previous MacBook Pro that was 15 years old. This configuration of this particular laptop was perfect combination of hard drive space and ram. It’s amazingly light and fast. It’s everything I needed for the right price also.

I’ve had my MacBook Pro 2025 for a few weeks now, and it’s hands-down the best laptop I’ve ever owned. The performance is lightning fast — I can run multiple heavy apps, edit 4K video, and multitask like crazy without a single hiccup. The display is absolutely stunning with true-to-life colors and deep contrast, and the battery life easily lasts me a full workday (sometimes longer).

I upgraded from a 2019 intel iMac. This laptop is an absolute dream. No lagging or stuttering with multiple apps and windows going simultaneously. I was concerned about the screen size coming from a 21.5, but I’ve not had any issue adjusting to the smaller screen. It is so crisp. I love the built in Touch ID and the ability to unlock with your Apple Watch. The battery life is phenomenal. I’ve worked on it all day without having to plug in starting at a full charge. Works seamlessly with my iPhone and iPad, and also screen mirrors perfectly to my tv when needed. The track pad works identical to the magic track pad with the iMacs which I really appreciate. Very reliable and has a great battery life. Can handle heavy loads even as a base model and is pretty fast if you’re doing basic work. Overall recommend if you’re looking for a more premium Apple Mac that will last you a while.

…which is arguably the best thing you can hope for when buying one. It’s your standard Apple entry model MacBook Pro, but now with 16 gigs of ram. It’s a little more expensive than the usual starter MacBook Pro models, but I dunno, I like it. Technically it has more features than the standard base MBPs of the past, but then again, was Apple going to launch another new one with 8 gigs and a 256 gig ssd? I would hope not. And curse you, Apple, for selling more ports back to me after slyly taking them away, but man, do I love having more than just two measly usb-c ports again (upgrading from an M1 2020 13”). I guess I don’t mind paying the Apple brand name tax every few years, as they’re one of the only brands that make me feel like it’s worth it, no matter how ambiguous that feeling may be. So yeah, cool laptop, glad the pro base model for the M4s has been upgraded
