The base M4 MBP is plenty of laptop for 9/10 people. The standard 16GB RAM, Thunderbolt 4 ports, and HDMI 2.1 for a 4K@120hz external monitor make this M4 version vastly more "pro" than the M3 was. You could get the beefier M4 Pro chip, but it's going to cost you $500+ and get ~2 fewer hours of battery life. Unless you're doing hardcore video editing or working with local LLMs, this is the Mac to get this year.

hdmi out is critical. smooth and quiet. would buy again. would have loved to keep it. Screen could be bigger.

I purchased this Mac to replace an aging M1 Air, so far has been a wonderful upgrade. Battery life is night and day, I love that the Pros include extra ports and a fan for heavy usage. If your looking to upgrade and old laptop, highly recommended. Also, price matching with Best Buy was painless, no questions asked.

Upgraded from m1 macbookair because laptop couldnt keep up with what i was doing and this was an amazing upgrade. I purchased when on sale and got the laptop for about 1,200 with trade in and taxes. Great laptop for nursing school and multitasking.

The product was in good working codition. Although I have not used the laptop enough to know it but so far it is working to my expectations

Everything with this purchase worked out great, from the ease of getting it at the store, to the better deal it had than at Apple and that I was able to get Apple Care with my BB membership. The laptop itself has been great and a much improved upgrade from my Macbook Air
