I've only been using this laptop for a few weeks but it is a huge upgrade from my 2019 MacBook Pro. The speed is significantly faster and the display is slightly larger but much brighter and higher quality. I love the new Touch ID capability as well.

Life long windows user here, Mac has a few things that are odd at first but overall very easy to get use to. Mostly using for photo editing and light video editing. The speed in which the large files transfer is mind blowing. I can transfer 250 61 mp files in under a minute

Very good performance - noticeable difference from previous macs. Battery life is insane as well!

Besides my 2 points in the title, the M4 Pro is also shockingly good at playing games with the Apple Game Porting Toolkit, managed to play even a handful of Windows titles I love on the go at medium-high settings. Makes hauling around stuff for a trip much more manageable, Final Cut is just supremely better than Vegas Pro from my experience so compromising on gaming performance for my longer road trips is def worth the trade off. Battery life has to be my favorite thing for the long haul trips besides it's computing ability. Thank goodness it can also be charged with lightweight USB-C chargers rather than the huge brick I used to carry with my old gaming laptop prior to this.

I’ve had Apple products for a long time and made the switch from a MacBook Air to MacBook Pro. Best decision I’ve made. It runs every program I need for graduate school effortlessly, and runs the software I need for editing, photography, merchandise design with ease. The graphics are great. The only downside is battery life doesn’t feel sufficient, but it’s able to last roughly an 8 hour day at the hospital doing clinicals.

I upgraded my laptop from M1 Pro to the M4 Pro. The M1Pro was plenty fast, but this one is even faster. I no longer see any slowdowns when editing photos due to the faster processor and more RAM that is included. Great upgrade.
