I am a video editor by trade and needed a new MacBook Pro ASAP after using an M1 for four years. I settled on this device as it was readily available. This is a very mid-range MacBook Pro in the lineup, but it continues to punch above its weight using the M4 Pro chip and 24GB of RAM. I initially purchased this device with the intention of using it temporarily until I could get an M5 Pro 16in. But, after solely using this laptop while working on the road for two weeks, I can't bring myself to give it up. If I could take away 1/2 a star, it'd be to do with the SSD size. It has less space than is ideal, but that's in accordance with the nature of the market with current memory shortages. In my case, a 1TB version of this laptop wasn't going to be available on my timeline. Supplement this M4 Pro - 512GB with any external drives you may have, using a fast transfer cable, and space will no longer be an issue. Better yet, if you're savvy put together a NAS and drive space becomes an afterthought. Not much needs to be said for build quality. I was convinced by the M1 Pro that MacBooks are the best in sturdiness and hand feel among professional laptops. My M1 survived falls that would've ended other machines. It's common knowledge that MacBooks aren't the most fixable of laptops, but mine have been reliable so far (I'd take away another half star if I had experienced a repair issue myself). I can't chime in on Apple Intelligence because I don't use any AI features on any of my devices because I am a thinking animal. As a machine for creatives it is unmatched in usability and compatibility and I consider it essential for 4K video editing. Speaking as someone who also has a high end desktop PC, I prefer using Mac OS on this M4 any day over Windows 11 regardless of spec to spec comparison.

Apple really knows how to handle new computer setup. This computer is amazing on so many levels it’s crazy! The speed, display picture and detail are amazing. The 14inch monitor screen feels so much bigger than what you see while you’re working on it! The M4 chip is really amazing as it captures my stream Love the darker color. Super fast. Plows through video rendering that would frequently crash my aging PC in no time. Takes some serious extended processing to even trigger the fan, so it's almost always silent. And when the fan does go into high, its very quiet. Planning on buying another one for my daughter to use for school!

An Exceptional Balance of Power and Portability Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) I am a Mac user for many years and started using the 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M4 Pro chip - 24GB Memory - 512GB SSD for about a month now, and it has quickly become favorite for commute uses. Performance: The M4 Pro chip is incredibly powerful. Multitasking is seamless, and it handles tasks like video editing, 3D rendering, and complex spreadsheets with ease. M4 Pro zips through these tasks like lightning and supports multi external monitors sometimes even better than use 16-inch M3 Pro which I use as a desk top machine (not easy to carry around). Specific Uses: Microsoft Office Excel: I use personal budget templates for planning and keeping track of income, expenses, savings, and investments. The M4 Pro handles complex spreadsheets effortlessly. Technical business uses: When it comes to searching through technical literature, creating summaries, data analysis, and new application designs, the M4 Pro is incredibly fast and efficient. Web Browsing: Web searches, scrolling, and data downloads, even on super high-content sites, are silky smooth.

This was bought as an upgrade from an 8 year old MBP for music production. This laptop exceeds all my expectations. It's fast, and handles all of the requirements needed for our use. I highly recommend the pro is you are looking for processing power.

Absolutely blown away by the MacBook Pro 14! By far the best laptop I've ever used. The battery life is great and the screen is very bright and sharp. This thing is a rocket and flies through any tasks I throw at it. I use a hub to drive 2 external monitors and this setup never misses a beat. Keyboard and trackpad are top notch. Quality is amazing.

I moved from windows personal laptop to Mac. Its superb experience. It’s been a month purchasing 24gb Memory and 512GB SSD, Macbook Pro M4 Pro chip! It’s perfect for developer and high efficiency usage. No heating so far, haven’t shut down my laptop for last 2-3 weeks!

This is a powerhouse laptop. Been using Apple Macs for the last 15 years and the last 3 Macs are still running. I bit thicker than expected, but the benefits outweigh that easily. Fast, battery life is exceptional, and ultra clear display

One improvement I’d suggest is increasing the hard drive space, as more storage would benefit users with larger files or more demanding workflows. Overall, it's a solid choice for general use, but may not be ideal for intensive work without a few upgrades.

The Macbook Pro M4 Pro is incredibly fast, the battery life is amazing, and there’s nothing like it on the market. Coming from an Intel processor, I was very surprised by the compatibility of Apple Silicon.

MacBook has been awesome to use thus far... I have been Windows user since Windows came out so making the change to IOS has been a task but coming along slowly... IOS and the MacBook M4 Pro has been flawless and integrates well with with my iPhone 16 Pro Max and my Mac Mini M4 Pro as well as my family members iPhones as well... I was a Android beta tester for years before making the move over the IOS and Apple so far things are more smooth. The MacBook is very fast and I use it mainly for video editing with Davinci and Photography using GIMP and some Lightroom. What use to take 30-35 minutes to render on my Windows computer takes less then five minutes on my MacBook... sometimes I look up and the render is done leaving wondering if I even clicked the render button... It has enough ports the display is awesome and I am over all happy with my purchase.

Haven’t upgraded for a few years, and wow… The M chips are just so much smoother than the intel chips. The added ram is nice even thought it works differently verses all being uses at once. Look into it. I do recommend a minimum of 1TB of storage if you’re a creative individual in any field, but if you don’t want to spend the extra money, just get an external hard drive.

The battery life is fantastic and it handles anything it. By far the most computationally fast laptop I have ever owned. Highly recommend for those wanting Pros. Display also looks amazing.

So far, the product has worked very well. I am currently typing this review on it. I have been using it for college and personal duties, and I am incredibly happy with my purchase. A large improvement on my previous 2020 MacBook Pro in terms of speed and computing power.

Excellent item. I was a windows user my whole life. Hence switching to a different OS includes some learning curve. But what I like the most about this item is its superior build quality, vivid display, loud speaker, and swift performance. Though apples products are always a bit pricey, purchasing this laptop could be seen as a long term investment.

I recently purchased the MacBook Pro 14”, and overall I’m very impressed with it. The build quality is excellent, solid, premium, and exactly what you’d expect from Apple. The display is one of the standout features. The screen is incredibly sharp and bright, with vibrant colors that make everything from watching videos to editing photos look amazing.
