I know you can transfer them. I did that with the new mac. He told me a few time that i have to buy a new one cause the old one its not gonna work on the new MacBook. If i didn't know i would pay $150 for nothing. There are people out there that they are not aware of these. Not happy about customer service. I love BestBuy, but don't make customers pay for something that they already have, just to charge them extra where there was no need. One star just because of that experience. The MacBook is exceptional.

It was worth the upgrade from my 2022 Air.

|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Handles anything and everything that I throw at it. Decided to go with the M4 Pro chip for the dual fans, the extra cpu/gpu core, and the thunderbolt 5 ports. Absolutely worth the couple extra bucks.
