If you get this to edit photos, DONT. Very very slow. I’m so disappointed. It is not my internet. I’ve used different WiFi’s . I’m a photographer and I struggle with how slow this max book is. the Battery life dies after 2 hours of use.

Awful!!! Just AWFUL. I went into the store to purchase this laptop. I have been a great customer with Best Buy for over a decade. The guy had no problem checking me out and telling me I should get the computer shipped to my house in 2 days. No update and 2 weeks went by. I went into the store 4 more times and no one could help even cancel it. I then had to buy another computer because I need it for work. They said they are working on canceling the other one, but still no update. I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on.

Pathetic excuse for a Macbook Pro. This is more like Macbook Lite. The 8 GB of SHARED memory is useless. I had a few tabs open in Chrome and a few Word docs open and the Activity Monitor showed I was using 7+ GB of RAM. Unified means the CPU, GPU, and programs share the 8GB. It was so slow, I couldn't use it. You could possibly use this one if you only surf the web or read email. Other than that, you need more RAM. Shame on Apple for not making the minimum amount of RAM at least 16GB. After all, this is supposed to be a Macbook Pro. I had to do an exchange for the 18GB model. That one works like it is supposed to. Although, having to spend an extra $250.00 just to get the RAM needed to make this thing work is a poor way to do business.

Lately I was struggling with my old MacBook Pro that I have had for several years. I maxed it out LOL. When I got this new MacBook Pro I couldn’t believe the difference. The speed, memory, resolution, sturdiness, size of screen and on and on and on make this perfect for my needs. I quilt, so lots of patterns and pics are stored. The finger touch for access is such a helpful option. There is so much more for me to learn about this and I’m excited about the challenge. The photos organization sounds incredible AND I have lots and lots of photos. I was looking and the MacBook Air and the Pro. I didn’t trust the Air was what I would be comfortable with but the Pro was more expensive. Thanks to my hubby who thought I should have the Pro I am incredibly elated with everything about it. Did I mention how comfortable the keyboard is to use? It is!! I know this MacBook Pro will be everything I need for some time and that means a lot to me. I don’t like to change out frequently. I hope what I have commented helps others feel good about making a choice to get this unit.

Worked well until it didn’t. Was on a zoom call, the screeb flickered and then went black. So-called “black screen of death.” Only 5 months old and never dropped or mishandled.

Fraud -- Best buy gave computer to an imposter who somehow got my CC and email

So far this MacBook Pro has performed flawlessly. The transfer of content from my Mac Mini went quick and smoothly without a single problem. Battery life and performance is amazing and the MagSafe Cable is one of the best Apple innovations ever. Everyday operation is smooth and extremely fast.
