The MacBook Pro 14” with the M3 chip is a powerhouse in every sense. Apple’s new M3 chip delivers exceptional speed and efficiency, making multitasking and running intensive applications like video editing or 3D rendering effortless. The 14-inch Liquid Retina XDR display is stunning, offering incredible brightness, color accuracy, and contrast that makes working on creative projects a joy. Battery life is another standout feature — I easily get a full day of heavy use without needing to recharge. The design is sleek and compact, yet the performance rivals even larger machines. The keyboard is comfortable for long typing sessions, and the larger trackpad is precise as always. What impressed me most is how silent it runs, even under heavy workloads, thanks to Apple’s excellent thermal management. Whether you’re a professional creator, developer, or just someone who values speed and reliability, the MacBook Pro 14” with M3 chip is worth every penny.

The MacBook Pro 14" is an exceptional device for both office work and a child's school needs, though it's undeniably a high-end investment. For office tasks, its powerful M-series chip ensures applications like word processors, spreadsheets, and video conferencing software run with incredible speed and responsiveness, and the stunning Liquid Retina XDR display reduces eye strain during long work sessions. The abundant port selection (including HDMI and SD card slot) adds a layer of convenience, eliminating the need for dongles. For school work, the MacBook Pro's real value lies in its longevity; its robust build and powerful performance guarantee it can handle everything from basic assignments to more demanding tasks like coding or video editing for years to come, making it a "future-proof" machine. Its phenomenal all-day battery life is a huge advantage for students, ensuring it lasts through a full school day without needing a charge. While its power may be considered overkill for some, the MacBook Pro 14" provides a premium, durable, and reliable experience that handles a wide range of tasks with ease, making it a smart investment for families seeking a single, versatile machine.

You wouldn't know it from the reviews of this page alone but this specific MacBook Pro model is a little controversial. And that's not because this laptop is inherently bad. It's far from it. For $1600, what buyers will receive is a fancier MacBook Air. They use the same processor (except the two added GPU cores) with the same base memory configuration. The added benefit you'll receive for the extra $500 above the base model M3 MacBook Air is the perks that come with the Pro chassis. You'll get the same great mini-LED display, more versatile ports, the added benefit of active cooling thanks to the fan inside the system, an enhanced speaker array, slightly improved battery life, and double the base storage configuration compared to the Air models. For some, that added cost of the M3 MacBook Pro justifies its similarities to the Air lineup. This product, however, exists to please a small niche that most people won't fit within. If you're in the market for a thin and light notebook to watch movies and listen to music, take notes, web browse, and use office productivity software, the MacBook Air lineup simply makes more sense. It's low power and efficient but is more capable enough to handle the computing tasks most people will need. It also has enough headroom for anyone looking to dip their toes into media creation whether it be basic video and photo editing or music production. You'll probably scrape by doing light coding as well. Let's say you're a professional creator though. You'll want a laptop that is capable enough to keep up with multiple dozens of browser tabs open whilst you edit 4k+ footage or large image files, work on 3d models, code, graphic design, large DAW files, and maybe even a little gaming. This laptop simply won't do the job. While the M3 chip is very capable, it's ultimately held back by the base 8GB memory configuration, which, to most people who work in software that'll eat lots of RAM, is nothing. The extra horsepower provided by the M3 Pro and M3 Max models of MacBook Pro combined with much more reasonable base memory configurations simply makes more sense to the power user. Neither storage nor memory is user upgradable. What you buy is what you will have for the foreseeable future of the MacBook. I wouldn't recommend going onto the Apple website and configuring this with more memory either. Just one or two upgrades will already push the cost of this MacBook to the same price as the 14" M3 Pro MacBook Pro, which, at its starting configurations, vastly outweighs the value and performance of the M3 MacBook Pro. Like I said at the beginning of the review, this laptop is not bad. It's really good and I think for the people whose niche that'll fit, they'll likely love it. Like with most MacBooks however, I'd maybe wait on a sale for this one. $1600 for a laptop with such a strong memory bottleneck is a little dubious, however, if you can catch it on sale at around $1400, which is what the price of this laptop is when it goes on sale at Best Buy, that only makes it $100 more than the 15" MacBook Air. If you were already in the market for one of those laptops, this might be a good consideration. For the tradeoff of a slightly smaller screen, you'll find that it's immediately a better value than the 15" at that price. You'll get a better display, ports, speaker, etc. not to mention double the base storage which Apple already charges $200 for.

Does everything and more you'd expect it to. People are upset that it starts at 8 GB of RAM, which of course I wouldn’t mind it starting with 12 or 16 gb. But, as the average consumer, I don’t necessarily need more and don’t run into any issues in my use. I do plan to keep it for hopefully 8+ years like my 2015 MacBook Pro, so hopefully it holds up. Decided to get this over the Air due to a better display and 120 hertz, better battery, double the base storage, and HDMI port. Figured if I’m keeping it for a long time, the extra money is worth it for that display as it will probably be the standard in the next few years.

Would highly recommend! The MacBook Pro 14 inch M3 is an amazing laptop for anyone who wants speed, reliability, and long battery life. It starts up super fast, runs smoothly, and handles multiple tasks at once without slowing down. The screen is bright and clear, making it easy to read and work for long hours, and the keyboard is very comfortable for typing. One of the best things is the battery life, it lasts all day, so I don’t have to worry about charging it constantly. Even though I bought it open-box, it looked and worked just like brand new. The 512GB storage is perfect for keeping all my files and projects organized. If you are looking for a powerful, fast, and reliable laptop, this MacBook Pro M3 is definitely worth it!

I upgraded from the 2020 Macbook Pro i5, so this felt like a whole new world. The crispness of the display was the first thing I noticed. The battery life is pretty reliable and lasts at least 10hrs after a full charge with heavy usage. The speed is also awesome thanks to the M3 chip. I’m very happy with this purchase

Traded in my Macbook Air M1 in for this Pro! As for the 8gb of RAM, this model is perfectly fine for most people not doing serious heavy lifting. I've experienced no memory issues or Apple beach balls while doing all the normal daily things most people do. I've had numerous tabs open while watching youtube, browsing etc and not a single hiccup. The display is truly outstanding! It's bright and gorgeous! The battery life is simply amazing ... took me several days to kill it! Also, the speakers sound really great - major improvement from my Macbook Air. This thing flies too, it's so fast! And, I know these Pros have a fan but in my week's use I've never heard it come on once. It stays ultra cool! I'm very happy with my purchase, and Best Buy even price-matched their member Black Friday sale price for me too, so I got it for $150 cheaper. If you're like me looking for a nice upgrade on what you currently have, or just need something new, but don't do super-intensive video/audio/graphics editing-type tasks, then you can't go wrong here. If you're on the fence about the RAM, I'd recommend watching Austin Evans' youtube video about this exact model. That might useful for you! Couldn't be happier ...

I use both Windows (professionally) and MacOS (personally) so I'm not completely biased to Apple. There are pros and cons to both. Overall I really love this iteration of the Pro. I originally bought a MacBook Air 15" M2 (also a great laptop) but ended up going with the MacBook Pro 14" M3 when it was on sale. It's a great laptop overall and I prefer the upgrades over the Air (ProMotion screen and enhanced speakers). Those upgrades plus the increase in storage (512GB vs 256GB) were worth $200 to me. 14" is also a great size for a laptop. I use this laptop for Excel, Windows, internet browsing and shopping, podcasting, email, text messages, and video calls. I've never run into a performance issue with 8GB of RAM (your mileage may vary).

Review for Apple MacBook Pro 14" with M3 Chip - Purchased from Best Buy Braintree I recently purchased the Apple MacBook Pro 14" with the M3 chip (8GB Memory, 10-core GPU, 512GB SSD in Space Gray) from Best Buy in Braintree, and the experience was nothing short of excellent! Product Review: The MacBook Pro itself is a powerhouse. The M3 chip delivers seamless performance, whether I'm multitasking, editing videos, or running demanding applications. The 10-core GPU ensures smooth graphics, and the 512GB SSD offers plenty of storage with lightning-fast load times. Even with 8GB of memory, this machine never feels sluggish, and it's perfect for both work and leisure. The 14" Retina display is breathtaking, with vivid colors and crisp details. I was particularly impressed by how quiet and cool the laptop stays, even during intensive use. Battery life is also fantastic, easily lasting me a full day without needing to charge. Best Buy Braintree Store Experience: Shopping at Best Buy Braintree was a pleasure. The store was exceptionally clean, well-organized, and easy to navigate. The layout made it simple to compare products, and I appreciated the wide selection of accessories available for my new MacBook. A special mention to the staff! The employees were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. I was approached by an associate who walked me through the different MacBook options, explaining the pros and cons based on my needs. Their genuine enthusiasm and understanding of the product gave me confidence in my purchase. They weren’t pushy at all, just there to provide the right information and guidance. Checkout was a breeze, and the team was efficient in handling the process. The employee who helped me even offered to set up the MacBook for me in-store and explained AppleCare options without any pressure to buy additional services. Facilities and Cleanliness: The store was well-maintained, and the cleanliness stood out. The floors were spotless, and the devices on display were well taken care of. There were also plenty of sanitizing stations throughout the store, which was reassuring. Social distancing guidelines were followed, and the atmosphere felt very comfortable. Overall Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) If you're in the market for a new MacBook or any tech product, I highly recommend visiting Best Buy. You'll find great products, excellent customer service, and a pleasant shopping environment. I’m thrilled with both my MacBook and the buying experience!

I love this thing. I play the Sims 4 (say what you will) and my 2015 MacBook Air wasn't cutting it anymore, even with the graphics on the lowest settings. I upgraded to this laptop and I'm so happy with it! Runs so smoothly, cuts down loading screen times by 75% at least, and everything looks way better. In addition, everything runs so smoothly that I'll be cooking, have a recipe pulled up, playing an audio book, and texting through iMessage all at once and it takes almost no battery for hours of that. Finally, it's just beautiful. The structure and design is so simple but classy- I love how it looks. Overall, very pleased.

I recently purchased a refurbished Apple MacBook Pro 14" with the M3 chip, 8GB memory, 10-core GPU, and 512GB SSD, and honestly — this has been one of the best tech decisions I’ve ever made. From the moment I powered it on, it felt premium and like a new machine. The Space Gray finish still shines, the keyboard and trackpad are flawless, and the display? Absolutely breathtaking — crisp, vibrant, and perfect for everything from creative work to binge-watching. Performance That Packs a Punch I was skeptical about refurbished performance, but the M3 chip immediately proved itself. Apps open instantly, multitasking feels effortless, and even graphic-intensive tasks like editing photos and videos run incredibly smoothly. I use this machine for daily work, content creation, web browsing, Zoom calls, and more — it handles everything with zero slowdown. Speed + Storage That Keeps Up The 512GB SSD provides ample space — storing large files, apps, and creative projects without worrying about running out of room. And with lightning-fast load speeds, everything feels instantaneous. Whether I’m jumping between software or opening large files, there’s no lag — just pure efficiency. Display + Design The Liquid Retina XDR display on this 14" model is nothing short of stunning. Colors are crisp, contrast is sharp, and streaming or editing content is a joy. Pair that with a sleek Space Gray aluminum finish, and it truly feels like a professional device — without breaking the bank. Battery Life and Daily Use Battery life has impressed me every single day. Even with hours of productivity, entertainment, and browsing, it stays strong well into the evening. The machine stays cool, quiet, and reliable throughout all types of use. Refurbished Quality = Smart Value For anyone debating refurbished vs brand new, take it from someone who loves quality and reliability — this refurbished MacBook Pro feels just as smooth and powerful as a new one, at a fraction of the cost. It arrived clean, well-checked, and ready to perform with no issues. Bottom Line This Apple MacBook Pro 14" with the M3 chip has surpassed all expectations. It’s fast, beautiful, durable, and every bit worthy of a premium laptop. I highly recommend this for students, professionals, creators — honestly anyone who wants a powerhouse machine that performs beautifully without paying full price. Would buy again in a heartbeat. Absolutely worth it.

This new Macbook Pro was purchased to replace a Macbook Pro that was purchased in 2011. At the time of the first purchase, I was using PC based operating systems, and I was frankly, sick and tired of PC's going obsolete quick, or breaking down due to poor quality. So I went the Apple route and I never looked back. I was originally looking to purchase the cheaper Macbook Air until I read that the computer throttles down when it overheats. So I looked at the next one up. It had no mag safe charger, a must have in my opinion. I've seen too many PC's with damaged motherboards because of torquing between the cord and unit. So I ended up with this MacBook. This mac is very fast with the M3 chip, although the M2 would have been ok. But the mag safe wasn't available on that one, so I was back to this model. I wanted to get more RAM but the price was too much. In the old days of using PCs, I'd simply put more RAM in. But you can't do this with this mac. They use what they call unified RAM, and its said that 8 MB (or unified), is like 16 onboard RAM. That was ok with me....as long as I no longer got that long lag time due to the system. Other pro's: Graphics are good. In addition to password protection there is fingerprint access. Speed is good WIFI Connectivity good Mag safe charging SIRI available Cons: Price Get a Mac......future proof yourself.

This laptop replaced my old but still running 2007 MacBook Pro. I am so impressed by the upgrades to the Battery life, performance, processing speed, screen, and sound system. My only regret is that I didn’t get a larger screen as I will be using this as my primary work computer. Another happy MacBook user.
