Apple rep boosted product too much - i have the quad core version with touchbar - compared side by side - rendering in AE, Premier, and PS the quad outperformed this Mac - Apple rep at the store in McAllen couldn’t believe that the older Mac outperformed this product that had a huge price tag.

Good camera, low autonomy battery, good screen sound

I bought MacBook Pro on 3rd Oct 2020 and I got invoice with different serial number and the device has different serial number and obviously Apple repairs didn’t accept because of two diff serial numbers for warranty and I had to lose out on the warranty which is such a blunder on Best Buy part also the offline store said it’s online bought so we can’t do much online there was pathetic customer support. Guys pls think twice before buying apple products on Best Buy the after support is pathetic also my product had breakdown within a year and I had to lose out on warranty and shell out so much money so I really doubt the authenticity now.

Learning curve since first time owning a Mac. Will get it

Paid a lot of money for a computer for college. DD has to download a program for a class. The program won’t download and is frozen for 3 days. She brings it in for technical help - the technician said he never seen anything like it.

I got this when Best Buy by mistake destroyed the monitor on my previous older MacBook Pro. They were very apologetic and professional at the time. However the User macBook they offered me at a $400 discount had serious battery problems. I sent it to Apple who were kind enough to receive it given the COVID issues. Apple changed the battery, however the computer still overheats and the battery discharges very quickly. They are on Strike 2 with a loyal customer of 20 years.

This model is flawed. Overheats a lot. Keys stop working. CPU Throttles. Just buy any other.Def. Not recommended.

As a designer I've owned Macs for 20+ years but this new MacBook Pro and the current OS are subpar. Touch ID doesn't work any longer (8 weeks later) and Apple has no solution. There's an OS glitch regarding java and it's a "known" issue. NO EXCUSES for Apple programmers not to tackle and solve this issue. Watch carefully and see that these serious issues are fixed before you choose apple. I have a 15.4" MBP.

I loved this MacBook Pro for the first two weeks that I had it. Then, early in the third week it started shutting down randomly, often in the middle of important meetings. It would freeze completely and the fan would start running at full speed. It was recommended that I updated the OS, which I did, but I'm still having problems. Very frustrating for a "brand new out of the box" (and not cheap) machine.

My first MacBook exceptional performance for past 4 years, 9th-gen Intel Corei9, up to 4.6Ghz, with a minimum 16GB of DDR4 RAM going all the way up to 64GB. These specs are about as powerful as it gets right now – this is a machine for people like professional video editors, musicians and coders.

It didn't work right out of the box brand new.....Then you had none in stock.

A PC at this price would be twice as powerful and capable.

This machine takes anything I throw at it from music production to app development without issue. It has no problem running process hungry tasks simultaneously. I notice it go to sleep at random but unsure why or if it’s something I may have accidentally triggered. The Touch Bar is no gimmick and I use it much more than envisioned. Installing to the latest OS, Catalina, took a few tries but that was also my experience with an Air model I had. I haven’t tried much gaming other than Runescape which seemed to run pretty fluid.

I bought the model this one replaces a little over 2 weeks ago. Had no idea a new one was coming out so when I heard the announcement I exchanged it to this one. Did benchmark test using CineBench on the i9 processor and it ranked between the Xeon processors (see pic). I've also played around using Final Cut Pro and the processing speed is astounding. I also am glad Apple changed the keyboard to be less noisy and more reliable (Some keys didn't register correctly on the previous model) The only thing I do not like and could live without is the TouchBar. It takes a day or two to get used to, I had the problem of grabbing the laptop and pressing the ESC key unintentionally. Overall very happy and highly recommend to people who need the power and screen size.

Never froze on me. Great for multitasking. Replaced my 13 inch with 8GB RAM.

Great product and fantastic customer service. Best buy is and will always be my go-to for tech.
