The lack of a MagSafe power cable and the ONLY ports being usbC is disappointing. Also, no option for 32GB of RAM?? Come on, Apple!! Other than that, you’re not really going to get anything as well built or frustration free. I still won’t go back to a windows machine. Migrating my old mbp to the new one was easy via WiFi. This new one is faster than my 2013 model and handles anything I can throw at it so far.

This is my 4th MacBook Pro I have owned and this model is by far the best that Apple has made yet. Super fast, super easy to use and the TouchBar adds a lot of functionality.

I love the display. Crisp and clear. Even though it is not 4K I really think it is better than most 4K pc laptops. SD drive is super fast, computer and programs load quickly. I was able to connect my blue tooth mouse with no problems. The speakers are nice am loud for a lap top. I can’t believe how slim the laptop is. It is just a little thicker than an iPhone with a case. I like how I can open the laptop up one handed. It ismexpensive and other pc laptops can have better specs for a lot less but I am heavily invested in Apple and I love how the various devices work so well together.

My MacBook Pro is a joy to use. I love the Touch Bar! I didn't think I would use it much. Boy, was I wrong. It's very intuitive to use. I love that it shows my spelling suggestions on the bar, then just touch it and the word is changed in my document or email. I am still seeing new uses for this incredible invention. If I am searching for a website, I can see where I have been on the Touch Bar, and use that to go back to a prior website. Actually using my new MacBook Pro is a joy and a delight. It's very fast and easy to use.

The 15" model comes standard with the new touch bar that Apple introduced in 2016 lines. This laptop is amazingly powerful and yet light and slender to carry with you everywhere. You will need USB adapter to covert the USB-C ports for use with older generations of accessories until the market catches up to the adoption of USB-C. Love this laptop!

Great Upgrade From My 2010 MBP

This MacBook Pro has several upgrades that, overall, make things easier even though I'm still learning them. I was surprised to discover this 15" is not much larger overall than my 2010 MBP 13", but much lighter with more screen space in it's slim design. For us, having a CD/DVD drive on the computers, is not necessary. So, purchasing the inexpensive Apple external drive if we do need it, was the answer. I do miss the USB ports, but the USB-C to USB adapter works well. IF YOU'RE SWITCHING TO THIS COMPUTER, BE SURE AND PICK ONE (or 2) UP AT THE SAME TIME. Then you'll be able to transfer information from your Zip drives, your external CD drive, etc. Also, there're no card reader slots. That too, was solved by purchasing an inexpensive external, 72-in-1 SUNPAK multi MS/SIM/SD etc. etc. card reader. I wish I had bought it at the same time I purchased this MBP. The Reader, like the external CD drive, needs to be plugged into the USB-C / USB adapter, but it works well. too. It's progress, but until everything is switched over to USB-C plugs, the adapter will suffice. Overall, I'm happy with this MBP 15".

With 16 GB RAM and a powerful processor, this is very suitable for computing intensive tasks. I am software engineering professional. It serves all my needs. The 15 inch screen with crystal clear display is awesome. I enjoy the touch bar a lot. I recommend you to customize it to add your own shortcuts and links.

I bought this laptop for my niece who is a freshman in high school and is taking honor classes. With this laptop she can do her homework anywhere! It is very fast and easy to use. It is very durable and will probably last her through college! She loves it and uses it for everything from homework to watching her favorite videos! This laptop is excellent and has exceeded her expectations! I would highly recommend this laptop for students of all ages to business professionals!

I bought the MacBook Pro 15 mainly for beginning a photography business. It has a great screen, easy to use, even though I’ve been basically a Windows only user forever except for my iPhone. I am still getting the hang of it, though. I love the slim design, super lightweight. Overall, great product!

Upgrade from 2013 Pro 15in. This is much more sleek. Runs smooth and fast. Display is awesome and loving the touchbar as as I get more familiar with it. No cd/dvd drive but when/if I really find a need an external should solve that easily. Advice- aside from headphone jack, only has USB-C inputs so grab an adapter for your usb/lightning/mem cards, etc

Had this laptop for about 4 weeks now. Here are some of the pros and cons I've found. Pros *Incredibly light and thin *Fantastic keyboard. The new gen2 Butterfly keys are very tactile and are not overly clicky compared to the gen1 buttons. Didn't take very long to adjust to the decrease in key travel. *Screen is absolutely gorgeous. Cons *Battery life is not that great imo. Obviously it varies depending on what you're doing. For a power user you'll find it drains pretty quickly. *No magsafe charger. I personally don't have an issue with all usb-c ports, but I really miss the magsafe charger. Just be sure to be extra careful when charging your device. Overall a fantastic device. I upgraded from a 2013 MacBook Air and this is definitely a huge upgrade. Love it.

I got this for my wife to replace an old Surface Pro. She loves the bigger and better screen, though she misses the touch screen. The MacBook Pro has plenty of storage, and the specs are more than enough to concurrently run the full Office suite, browsers, and VMWare Fusion. The integration with the rest of the Apple I* product line is great. We provisioned the laptop using a TimeMachine backup of her iMac, so getting her up and running was pretty easy. The keyboard takes getting used to and we had to buy adapters so that she could continue using non-USB-C peripherals. Other than that, very little in the way of drawbacks. Overall a great laptop/desktop replacement.

This MacBookPro is as powerful as a desktop, with the advantage of the Touch Bar along the top of the keyboard... and it is portable!! I am a big fan of the the Apple operating environment, macOS 11, High Sierra takes device integration to the next level!!

As always you get what you pay for. I bought this to replace my 2011 MacBook Pro and have been nothing but happy with it. Well, except the 4 usb c only thing but I’ll adapt. I thought the touchbar was gimmicky but I wanted the nicer 15 in with better specs so got the bar. Turns out it’s rather handy and I use it a lot more than I thought I would! As always, Apple delivers.

If you need a high end machine for graphics or video work, look no further. I was concerned I would hate the touch bar and the USB-C, but both have turned out to be way better than I expected. Was also worried I wouldn't like the feel of the new keyboard, but I adapted to that a lot faster than I expected, too. All in all, a great machine, light, portable, and powerful.

This is my second MacBook Pro. Actually, I still have my original MacBook Pro 15" w/retina and I am still using it everyday. So far I like this computer. I like how all of my apple products integrate with this MBP. Things do work even better in terms of the syncing and integration. However, I am not sure it's really worth the money and it's a lot of money for sure. Apple's products are continuing to rise in cost but I am not sure their ingenuity and technology is matching their cost and reputation any longer, but that's just my opinion. With all of that being said I still like Apple products, but some of their appeal is starting to fade for me especially as I weigh the cost to own them now. So what I really like about this computer is the touch id. I absolutely love that I can unlock my computer with the touch of my finger, but even better than that my Apple Watch can automatically unlock this Mac. That by far has to be my favorite feature. I can just open it up and boom my watch unlocks it and I am on my way doing what I need to do. I also really like the display. It's definitely better than my 2012 MBP w/retina. The colors are vibrant and I just like how everything looks. I also really like the feel of the keyboard and the trackpad is nice. The touchpad is pretty cool, but it's a little underwhelming considering I was really excited about it before I started using it. It's not bad it's just not incredible. I don't know that I am really seeing any noticeable difference in terms of the speed. It seems to handle operations and functions very similarly to my older MBP. It may be actually better, but I am not able to tangibly see the difference. Apple still has to do better with the native email client. It's just not good at all and for the reputation Apple has this app fails in every way. Safari needs to be better as well. There are things I like about it but I still find I am using Chrome 75% of the time. Overall I am mostly happy with this MacBook. I think it has some nice upgrades compared to previous models of the MBP. Do the upgrades justify the cost? I don't think they do, but I think you will get a computer that is very well built and will last a very long time. Like I said my original MBP (2012) is still going strong and it doesn't seem to be anywhere near it's end. I don't think you can say that about any other computer. So from that standpoint maybe you could justify the cost. It's definitely going to last longer and work better out of the box and on an ongoing basis that pretty much any PC.

My last Apple laptop was a MacBook Air mid-2011. This laptop blows that one out of the water. I especially like the Touch ID feature. I use it mostly for graphic design, web design, and financial software. It’s a bit heavier however that’s not really a con considering the hardware. Fast and efficient. No crashes (yet).

Hands down one of the best Ultra laptops I've ever used. Aside from gaming this laptop packs quite a punch! I'm a senior IT specialist, and I've always been a Windows and Linux user because if the nature of my job, however, I decided to give Apple a try with no intentions of keeping it.... And this MacBook Pro is probably one of the best (non-intentional) decisions I've ever made in my life!! Apple really took the time to engineer this laptop to the top of his class. I have the 15-inch version so it has a few more pounds then the 13" but definitely worth the extra pounds. It rarely ever gets hot so performance and battery life is superb. Definitely a good buy and I now plan on using it for many years to come.
