Replaced a mid 2012 MacBook Pro with this and it’s proven to be a major disappointment. Want to upgrade the memory or storage, no soup for you, you can’t because in Apple’s infinite wisdom they’ve now made that impossible to be sure you’ll have to upgrade sooner. They also did away with simple features like magnetically attached charge cable, that was so innovative and creative, removed trip hazard and the risk of your pricey machine getting yanked to the ground. Gone. It’s now a fixed attachment. Why is the track pad half of the machine? I like the keyboard integrated speakers, but with all the room next to the track pad Apple should have installed 6” woofers on each side because I think there is room. The chicklet style keyboard has been replaced with a much lower profile version that I don’t care for, although that’s admittedly a personal preference. All connections are usb-c which is used by, well currently nothing, but again, no soup for you unless you want to carry dongles or an adapter block. In the pro column it’s still a sexy and powerful rig, it’s just that Apple has now differentiated this into obsolescence. With more powerful/flexible Windows based models at half the price, this will be our last Mac.

This computer has a lot of nice features. I do wish the cost was a little cheaper and came with the right cords to hook up ur phone too.

Went to BestBuy looking for a new Mac, found the one I wanted, but it was an open box. Found out why it had been returned went it kept short circuiting and wiping away all the set up work. Reshelved a defective device!

Nice computer but not acceptable for college. Now I am stuck with this and will have to buy a dell or HP. Very disappointed about this.

The performance has been great, with many useful features. The battery life is poor, and needs charged daily, if not sooner.

This computer meets my needs for school and work. The build quality is excellent. My main complaint is how mushy the keyboard feels.

It was an open box product. When I bought it, it was lightning fast but certain flaws started happening such as the Audio Crack Sound. Every once in awhile, when the machine is running with full power making noise, the audio starts to crack which was a concern. I thought about taking it back, but I tested out the 2019, and I've noticed that my 2018 had better sound quality and better graphics on the videos.
