Great speed, great display. What's not to like? Still the best laptop computer out there.

I’m still learning how to use this computer after moving over from a PC. But so far it has lived up to and exceeded expectations. Extremely smooth, crisp screen. The keyboard is responsive and I love the quiet typing experience and the oversized mouse pad. Can’t wait to explore its graphics capabilities with illustrator and digital art.

After years of saying we'd never have an Apple product in our house, we gave in so we could access the amazing editing capabilities for videos and graphics. Expensive? Yes. Worth it? Probably; especially if you need those features. BTW - There was an Apple rep at the Best Buy when we went in, and he explained why the newest version was so much better. It cost us more, but it was worth it for the extra speed and power.

I can't comment on the actual computer at the moment because I haven't used it yet. After the initial setup (which took an annoyingly long amount of time), I was looking forward to transferring data from my external drive onto the computer. I wasn't able to, however, because the USB-C to USB adapter I purchased did not work (my external is USB). I'm still not sure if this is a computer issue or faulty adapter issue. My main disappointment lies in the fact that Apple has decided to make things unnecessarily more complicated and more expensive by designing this computer without a built-in USB option. This issue is not a Best Buy issue, it is an issue I have with Apple. I do not believe any newer models of their computers have a built-in USB option (to my knowledge) and it is what it is. This fact has cost me additional money, time, frustration, and problems though. At this price-point, I feel design should be more well-rounded and user-friendly.

Bought this for my husband who just loves it ! Speed fast, he likes the Touch Bar.

I preferred windows to macOS for years. Recently I decided to switch to Mac because of my infatuation with my Apple Watch and iPhone. The harmonious interaction of all the devices makes the software shortcomings tolerable. As for the computer itself it handles everything I throw at it from photo touchups tp video rendering. Expensive but you can't beat apple quality. I would definitely recommend.

I have been a lifelong PC user yet wanted to process my pictures faster and better so I decided to take the plunge. I am very happy I did with a couple of exceptions. First, this isn’t for the feint of heart. You don’t have to be a computer expert yet it would help. Luckily there is tons of online help for you. Biggest problem for me was connecting to network printers. They are not easily recognized by MacOS. Plug and Play doesn’t exist or at least I haven’t learned the Apple version. The build is solid and the computer is Lightning fast (pun intended). I don’t know that I can totally justify the price, even on sale. However you do get what you pay for. A super fast and powerful laptop.

I checked for years the MacBooks (Air, Pro, MacBook) without being able to decide myself. I never knew if I should stay to the basic Ipads. I finally decided to go for the MacBook Pro and I do not regret it. OK, it is extremely expensive, but the laptop is so well finished, and the speed is so good, that I would definitely recommend this machine. I just regret I did not choose it before!!!!

Upgraded from a 7 year old MacBook. What a difference in speed. Still getting used to the touch bar, but anticipate utilizing the app centric shortcuts as it becomes part of my workflow. Old MacBook got handed down to another family member. Macs are workhorse commuters that last for years and years. Up front may cost a bit more but worth the price for longevity and extremely reliable performance.

As a web and game developer this meets every need I have currently and well into the foreseeable future. The OSX ecosystem is dev friendly as well as inclusive. The laptop itself is quality even from the feel of it. It is incredibly lightweight which makes mobility a non-issue.

This MacBook Pro is honestly the best purchase I have made all year. Recently upgraded to it from a 2011 model which was sluggish with the programs I needed to use for picture/video editing. But now with the 2018 model I’m able to complete all my tasks more efficiently, longer lasting battery and slim unibody. I would recommend this MacBook for creative minds alike.
