I replace the Apple laptop I use for work about every 5 years. It was time for an upgrade and I'm super grateful for this new machine. Only minor complaint was that I wished Best Buy would of had another color option in the store other than Space Grey.

I returned this for an MSi, which, I'm ashamed to say, I still haven't plugged in because my Asus gamer that I thought was on its last leg, got a second wind. Long story short, for me, Mac for a designer and work productivity is great, for a gamer, even casual gamers, not so much. The biggest drawback of a Mac is that it's not upgradable. For work that's not so bad, but as more games requiring more room come out, it's nice to be able to add more when/as needed.

Previously having a 2012 MBP to working on this is a real treat. Wish Apple would of added a few more ports.

I love the integration of the Apple Ecosystem, if you have any apple product (such as iphone) you will like it. I installed Windows (via Bootcamp) and all my engineering programs have been working better than when I had a Windows Native machine.

The computer is awesome but I wish Apple would stop changing their ports. Had to buy all new ones. USB-c

Where do I start with this review. I have been a Mac user since 1986 when I bought a used Mac (84). I have been a user of Mac and Windows every since. I am an MCP and I own a computer company that does IT work for local businesses in my area. I have about 30 years of IT management experience so I like to at least think that I know about what I am talking about. :) Now, here is the reality of this machine. This is the best laptop I have ever owned, Mac, or PC, ever, PERIOD. It isn't even close. Yes, there are windows laptops that are less expensive. Yes, they have more power, yes they may have more ports, yes they may have 4k screens. To me, it doesn't matter. The ecosystem that Apple has built with the way their products work together, along with the style, power, and battery life of these machines makes them the ones to beat. Now the keyboard may look the same, but it really does feel different, and it is quieter. I don't know if it is going to hold up the test of time, but I am praying it does. I have AppleCare just in case. I would encourage everyone to get AppleCare as replacing the keyboard out of warranty will se you back about $400. People say that the Touch Bar is a gimmick, but I actually find it useful in some apps. I cannot say how nice it is to have a 16:10 format screen still in 2018, but it is. The machine is silent unless under load, and runs cool unless very stressed. If you are a Adobe Premier user, then I would buy a Windows machine, but if you are a Final Cut user, or may be, then this is the machine for you to edit with. It is crazy fast thanks to the optimization of FCP and the speed of the SSD. 3GB a second speeds on the SSD is just disgusting. Really disgusting. I still think the trackpad is oversized for no logical reason (wish I could use an Apple Pencil with it) and I am ready for Mojave other than that this machine is perfect to me. Again to ME. I don't care about having to use dongles. I don't mind the 720p camera, so to me this is just the best laptop on the market today. What would make it perfect? A little more keyboard travel. An Nvidia card instead of the AMD. 1080P Webcamera. An SD card reader built in. Light up the Apple logo again.

The Mac I bought for my son bec he has an IPhone does a lot if video recording and transfer them to the laptop. This laptop he chose for prodcing music which the laptop comes with the program.

I love the new MacBook Pro. The Touch ID is especially great, however, I wish it could be used for more processes, such as changing settings. I thought I would hate the new keyboard, but, It actually feels a lot like the older MacBook Pro.

I’ve been a PC girl all of my business career. Changing to a MAC has made me much more productive. Love the feel and technology. I had to rewrite my brain (mouse commands are opposite that of a PC) but truly have grown to love it....

I like the larger 15" screen. It is easier for my aging eyes and good for presentations and movie!

It has alot of power but it does get really hot when doing alot of work but over all i love it

new work computer and needed the higher end GPU so went with the 15. Wish they could get those GPUs in to the 13 but I understand the lack of space. Still don't love the touchbar but otherwise zero complaints. Best in class still.

I’ve been a Mac user for 6 plus years first owning the Air. Just upgraded to the new Pro and I absolutely love this computer. It is everything I’ve wanted and more. My salesperson was also extremely knowledgeable and most helpful

My last MacBook Pro lasted for over 8 years and is still working, but I wanted to upgrade due to the thinness of the new model. I absolutely love my new MacBook. It is much lighter and more portable than my previous model.

I hope it is a great product, bought for my wife for Christmas. It is replacing an Apple Model she has had for years. I will say the purchasing experience at Best Buy was smooth and efficient, despite the store being packed.

What can I say other than it is a Apple. In the past I have found that these are more reliable than the windows based products. I would not even consider buying another windows based computer after owing a Mac Book.

I love Apple products. I recently bought this, upgrading from a mid-2010 MacBook Pro. All is well except the low-profile keypad (and especially the touchpad/"mouse" are hard to click. I get that this modification helps keep the surface cleaner but the sacrifice is apparent: I'm finding I now need to "right-click" a lot to open emails, etc. rather than having the simple control of double-clicking successfully.

This was really great buy for me. This computer came out one week and it was in the refurb pile the next. Always look for a refurb first. They’re really good about making sure you get the best stuff even if it’s slightly used.

There are plenty of reviews out there for the 2018 macbook pro's. They are great computers and I'll leave those reviews to you. I just wanted to thank the staff at the 71st street Best Buy for a a great buying experience.

I am new to Mac always been Dell. Lots to learn but so far really love the differences.
