4th MacBook Pro may be the last

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Being over 6 years old I figured it was time to retire my old MBPro (my third) so a couple of weeks ago I picked up a fancy new one. Same speed and memory... The feel of the keyboard and touchpad felt odd but I attributed it to my comfort with the old style and have given myself some time to adjust. Well, now I find myself picking up my old battered MB and leaving the new one idle. Not only am I dissatisfied with the touch pad and keyboard but now I don't like the touchbar either.. it's a bit fussy and it takes more time to access it than the buttons on my old MB. The processor is jerky on my office software and it just feels funky. Like getting out of a solid truck and jumping in a tinny car. The quality of construction is definitely gone down hill and my daughter, who is a CS major at University, is giving me giant heapings of 'I told you so's'. For the first time in over 15 years I am seriously considering going back to <shudder> a PC and may sell this one. Truthfully I wish I hadn't bought it.

Nice but not nice enough for the price point

Smooth machine with amazing sound quality, positive keyboard usage, and overall enjoyable. For the price though, it can’t overheat that quickly... the battery was also only lasting 3-4 hours with high usage.
