When I bought this laptop I already had a Dell running the same i7 CPU and also 16GB of RAM. This laptop ran just as fast and performed exactly the same as my Dell without any exceptional boost or improvement to justify the much higher price tag. In fact I ended up doing less work with this laptop than I did with the Dell. After a year of light use, I pulled the laptop out of my bag and found the screen wouldn't turn on. After I took a closer look, I noticed a pixel's width, 1/2" long crack from the camera down. That tiny crack completely destroyed the screen's ability to work. I never get warranty on any of my computers since I work any tech problems myself. So here I am looking at an excessively expensive computer that broke after 1 year and without AppleCare. I quickly went online to search for replacement screens and found them to be ridiculously expensive. I decided maybe Apple could offer a better deal. Only to be told it would cost roughly the same as me buying the parts and changing it myself. I optioned not to get it fix. It will be 4 years now I have the Dell and it works beautifully while this laptop sat doing nothing for 1 year. Apple better redeem itself with the M1 and M2 chips because this was a very expensive mistake.

the rating is only at best buy. received damaged so to took it back after only having it for 10 days to best buy but they refuse to exchange, stated it was an apple issue that i received it damaged and i would need to use apple care to have it fixed. I have beed an elite plus member for years with best buy. I care for over 230 people and purchase product on there behalf and told this to the manager but he didn't care, so I'll just do my shopping else were from now on.

Had to take to Geek Squad for reboot. Factory reboot was not completed. Geek Squad was very helpful and it back up and running under 24 hrs!!!

Unfortunately, this computer did not work correctly from the second we unboxed. At first attempt to turn the computer on, the display would not turn on. Every time the computer went to sleep, it would crash and we were unable to get the display to turn back on. On top of this, the computer would get stuck at start up and need to be restarted. After hours with AppleCare, they were unable to fix the problem. We returned the computer and hoped to get the next model up using price match for another retailer and the price it was at when we purchased this model. The store refused to match the price even though we had a defective item. Very disappointed in the product and service from Best Buy. Don’t recommend

I like everything about this laptop except the fact that it overheat very quick. For a laptop at this price, I expect it to be better.

While the laptop itself in theory is great, I've already had multiple problems with the machine and it's been less than a month. It gets burning hot, the volume doesn't always work, and the screen display gets really washed out sometimes making it impossible to edit photos.

Not a big Apple fan bought for my daughter also didn't like that the same product went on sale the following week for much less then I purchased it for..

The larger display screen is extremely fragile. It cracked within the first 3 months while sitting on a desk inside a case. The Apple Store basically said that happens all the time. The worst part is, they said it would be repaired in 2-3 business days. That was 3 weeks ago, after waiting a week to get an appointment to have it fixed, and it now has no repair date in sight. The LED screen is too fragile and Apple repairs are non existent right now. Apple is not the same without Steve Jobs.

It seems to be just a big iPhone with a few extras. It has very few games and was not what I expected. I exchanged it for a windows gaming laptop.

Needs set up information for those of us who are 76+ and not so hip anymore. I’d really like to use this phone and camera,but I,m stuck in Chinese. Help,

What a nightmare!!! Upon arrival brought it over to my tech guy to set it up for me. When we opened the box we saw it was damaged and scratched up on the bottom. Then we saw the original owner of this computer's name and his desktop display picture. Of course we couldn't open the computer because it belonged to someone else and of course we didn't have his password... My computer tech said that this computer was a piece of junk and to return it immediately. I hope that this is read by someone at Best Buy so that a manager could get in touch with me regarding this disgrace. So I called Best Buy, got a return label, mailed it out UPS and still have not received word nor monetary return. I am super disappointed, thought this company was reputable. I was so excited to get my new computer, and then this... This was definitely the "WORST BUY" ever.

This thing keeps crashing. Took to my IT guy and he could not fix. Took to Apple Care and still cannot find out what is wrong.

Garbage!! I returned it. 3 hour of battery life?? Really?? Track pad so big its stupid and worthless. No right click?? The annoying touch panel on the top constantly bumped while typing causing it to back out of pages. Does not use usb cables... absolute JUNK.

I found it too big to carry with me daily. Switch to a MBP 13 2020 with a LG 27" 4K monitor and found it more ergonomic for 8+ hours of work.

There’s no HDMI port. Apple products seem to be loosing quality control.

The three stars is because I expected a higher performance than what it is in terms of multitasking work and internet connectivity?

I bought this laptop on September 4 ,2020 ,It was getting warm more than normal and battery drain fast and went to bestbuy store October 8 and their geek squad technician check and confirm the problem , sales associate was working for a replacement but manager came and he refuse for any help and said go to apple we can’t do anything . I bought expensive laptop brand and they sold a faulty piece and sent me to manufacture for repair. Apple refused to replace instead repair it . New laptop even I didn’t enjoy this new laptop.

This laptop runs way too hot, and there are much better things to put that much money towards.

Was supposed to be tech certified. Got hot almost immediately after turning it on No support from Geek squad offered until over a week later to remove my data and put it on a new computer. Awful experience. Went directly to Apple for the expertise and professionalism.

The computer is fine but beware they didnt tell me it had no power supply. Nothing in the ad mentioned the lack of required accessories to actually use it. The manager pointed to the fair rating on the ad and it says the item could be missing accessories. Would have been nixe to know there was no power supply in the ad.
