Buy a m1 Mac or wait until the new Mac book late 2021 comes out right now this Mac isn’t a good vaule

Bought the base model expecting better thermals, seemed better than older models but still falls short. Gpu in bootcamp is underwhelming and buggy. Returned the laptop and bought a way better laptop with exeptional specs than what Apple offers for the same price. Double the ram and double the storage and a 2080. Sure its not the apple build quality or has the sleek slim form factor. I would not recommend for pros unless Mac os is a must.

Battery is already acting on me and I had for less than 6 month. Need to get it back to Apple for replacement

This is more of a preference than a downside. I found that the laptop was too large and heavy to be portable.

buy an apple iphone rather than this big thing. plus its heavier than heck

The people previous version of Mac book pro was better. The magnetic power connector among other things.

Price point and Screen size NOT favorablE Laptops Case heats up so does the battery charger.

I bought a open box macbook pro which was Geek squad certified and I don’t know what they really certify about it. The computer didn’t start at all and it was stuck at the macos recovery screen. When I inquired from the best buy support I was transferred two nearly 12 different agents and I had to state my problem to them again and again only to be transferred again. I was not in a position to bring over the product to a store because I was away in another country. After a week of time I finally was able to get the computer to work by myself but I’m not sure whether it will continue to work in the future. I’m really disgusted with your service.

Returned the unit I was disappointed in the speed and performance, found it to be just okay.

Sales Staff do not know the products they are selling

Was told data could be transferred to my 2 Mac books in a couple of hours and when I brought then in during my appointment they said it would take 2 days . 5 days later no update , waited on calls for 45 min twice no update online . Thus my wife went to check on progress , pickup . Nothing done on her Air Book and they had destroyed my hard drive which was fine when I dropped it off . They were also rude to my wife . Total incompetent . Worst consumer experience ever . I have lost all my files and are considering further actions against BB

Bought brand new and the computer could not update no matter what I did. I called Apple and I called Best Buy Support. They couldn’t do anything for me. Wasted $2,500. I tried to get my money back but because of Covid my tech appointment kept getting pushed back and back.

I had a minor issue with my MacBook Pro and took it to the Apple Store. Low and behold, I was sold a refurbished laptop falsely advertised as new and it was already four months out of warrant once bought it late November 2020. I had to open a claim and Best Buy refuses to respond or accept liability consider everything on the computer is the same state on the box and Best Buy receipt.

Screen smaller than expected and soed slower than my 12”

I think it's a great laptop. I had the 13 inch for many years and the screen size upgrade is very nice. If I look at the 13 inch now it looks miniature. I kind of wish the screen size was slightly more than 16" though. Like 16.5 or even 17 would be even better for more productivity. I use my 27 inch iMac a lot. But another inch of screen would be a great desktop replacement for on the go. Keyboard is better than the last gen. I still wish it had more travel, but this might be the best apple can do. Speakers are amazing. I use them all the time. Speeds are great and I can actually play AAA games. I have bootcamp and can run them at 40-50 fps which is way better than the last gen. Battery life could be better. Only lasts 2 hrs on battery if doing intensive tasks, but maybe 8 or 9 hrs in normal use. All in all, it's a lot better than the last gen. Just wish screen size would be bigger and maybe .2-.3 more mm of key travel.

I have used it one day to record my brothers and I and considering Ray had the computer placed it sounded pretty good. I haven’t had a chance to use it for videography though which is why I bought it. So my review really doesn’t pertain to much I don’t think.

Incredibly overpriced and absolutely poor performance from every point of view. For that amount of money you can buy a Windows based spaceship that works x100 faster. It's also a buggy OS

I believe this computer would be great but mine is defective. It continually malfunctions and shuts it self down.
