Love this laptop. East to use.it is so much faster than my old one.

I was in the market for a new Mac after my 15inch Mac Pro of 8 years started malfunctioning. Originally, I purchased the 13inch in an attempt to save money (the difference between the two is about $1K). But as soon as it came, it was clear that it was too small and too much of a downgrade from I had (pictured). So, I returned the 13inch and purchased the 16inch. While I am not sold on the price, I am pleased by the size and capabilities thus far. One thing I noticed immediately was the power of the speakers. The touch bar is a nice addition, but I'm not certain I'll get much use from it.

This MacBook Pro was everything I wanted in a computer, and more. As a consultant, I count heavily on the ease of use of my laptop. I also signed up for the Geek Squad. They cloned my old computer to my new one. I also got free virus software installed with that membership. Great experience all around. I am recommending Best Buy to all my friends.

This laptop is such a great buy! I bought it for Architecture school and it is powerful enough to run the programs I need as well as multiple options to tun Windows and run the apps that are unavailable for Mac. I really appreciate the thorough options available for organization and labeling by color.

I’ve always been a huge fan of Apple products and am happy to see this model having been improved immensely compared to the several previous models. As everyone has been saying, the keyboard really is such an incredible improvement. On the previous models, typing had felt like a chore and it was beyond frustrating having to deal with duplicate key presses. I refuse to use a Bluetooth keyboard when the thousands of dollars I put towards a laptop should suffice in providing me with an adequate keyboard. I do extensive typing in writing code, so this is something I really love about the 16-inch model. Of course, who doesn’t love listening to some music while they’re being productive? With the new speaker setup, the sound quality is noticeably better and louder. I couldn’t believe how clear Apple Music, Spotify, and YouTube sound at even 70% volume. I have nothing to complain about after using this for almost 2 weeks now. I bought the 512GB, 16GB RAM configuration and it is more than enough to Xcode, Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, Sequel Pro, and Safari/Chrome simultaneously without lag. I mainly use React, PHP, and Apache for development—no issues with overheating yet. If you’re willing to invest in a high quality machine for development within a Unix environment (default shell is .zsh on the pre-installed Catalina OS), I definitely recommend this model—you won’t regret it.

This was purchased for a photographer to simultaneously run photoshop, lightroom, and all scheduling programs. It is able to handle these with ease. There is absolutely no lag whatsoever especially when uploading a gallery, which usually slows down most operating systems. Definitely worth the money!

First time MacBook user and I love the ease of function and how it seamlessly pairs with iPhone and iPad. It looks great. Can’t comment of fancy Design softwares which I suppose it’s meant for. I just got the 16inch as opposed to the 13 because the 13 was just way too small and seemed annoying to work on. I am a physician and it works great with hospital EMR (epic).

I love apple products and use a Macbook pro for my job so I thought buying a new personal MacBook would be great. It is and isn’t because the features like the Touch Bar and large track pad are great but something is going wrong with the software. Every time I would close it shut and then reopen it later, it would shut down the computer completely instead of just putting it to sleep. Also I had a few applications running at once and the hard drive couldn’t handle it, so it just shut off. It’s probably something to do with the OS and I’ll take to the genius bar if it continues. But the overall physical computer is great.

Purchased this laptop for my wife. She spends a lot of time on a laptop for her work and does some pretty heavy tasks. This laptop handles it like a champ. This was a huge upgrade from the 2018 MacBook Air she had, that laptop just couldn’t handle her workload like she needed it to and it would just create a lot of frustration. I would definitely recommend this laptop.
