Superb laptop and very fast. You’ll need a seatbelt to operate

For someone with little computer savvy this purchase was made for me. It was easy to set up and extremely intuitive to use.

Upgraded from a MacBook Air to use Lightroom/Photoshop and it’s such an ease with no lag

Within 4 days of purchasing the laptop, the screen got cracked without any external pressure on it and went completely black in minutes. Later, I went to best buy for help, they refused to take it back. I've contacted the apple service center directly and they did it with no charge. Note: this screen issue is happening a lot with recent MacBook because of the lesser bezel thickness, Apple knows that its fault on them but they aren't declaring it officially.

Excellent laptop, using for new studio interface, replacing an older MacBook Pro and iMac. Very easy to set up!

I though the open-box item was a pretty good deal. No glaring cosmetic issues. It had no charge so I couldn't test it out at the store. At home, when I was finally able to turn it on, the OS would not load and instead I got a flashing white folder w/question mark graphic. After a bit of googling, I figured out that the OS needed to be re-installed via the recovery feature. The first (few) attempts at recovery failed with a generic error. Googling on the error revealed I may need a SCM reset before recovery. That did the trick, but wasted a couple of hours of my time. Going strong after a few days of use and have had no other issues so far. Probably should not get open-box items if you aren't willing to troubleshoot a bit. But in fairness, Best Buy should have properly reset the device before giving it away which is why I docked one star.

I also have the 13 inch model the 16 is worth every penny I know the price is steep but you know the saying you get what you paid for.
