Great computer!

It’s amazingly fast compared to my old laptop, which is a Dell. I’m using this mainly for school right now but later this year I’d like to use it I set up a music studio. The resolution on the screen is incredible. I love the keyboard. I don’t have any complaints at this point.

The most surprising "convenience" feature is fingerprint recognition. If you set your laptop to sleep pretty quickly when you're off the keypad, you used to have to retype your password every time to wake it up. Now one touch of your index finger does that trick.

I upgraded from a 2016 MacBook Pro 15” and aside from cosmetically, I wasn’t satisfied. The Touch Bar took some getting use to and I didn’t really find too much use for it though it’s a nice feature. The screen was pretty and big. The sound great. All and all I had no complaints until I left it closed charging or just closed the computer for extended periods of time. I would come back to a reboot with an error code saying it had to unexpectedly restart. This happened a handful of times which made me worry that my $2500 purchase was a dud. I heard from others that they had similar issues with the hardware and I started to think I made a bad choice and I was stuck with this. Luckily Best Buy extended its return policy due to Covid and I got my money back with no hassle. I still wish to purchase a 16” someday, but till then my 15” will continue to serve me well.
