I would expect this computer to be very fast, but instead, it's slower than my old one. Maybe the operating programs that comes with it are too big? IDK.

Barely a year old and now I have to type on my 2017 macbook pro because I purchased a $3k piece of trash. It was always slower than my old computer but is maxed out with two graphics cards. Absolutely worthless.

I decided to use the 10% payback on my large purchase, applied and accepted for a new card .. the cashier tried to charge my new card for the total purchase and was declined .. after several attempts to complete the transaction was denied .. called the company and was told when I ghet my card then bring it to the store and pay .. ( beyond ridiculous ) so I wait for the card in the mail .. when I receive it I go on line to activate it ( error message ) call this number .. same Thing !! Requested a supervisor to solve the issue .. won’t answer !! Worst service ever !!

I had an error message since my laptop would just shut off. I dont recall getting my macbook pro in with a plastic wrap around the box. I just thought that was new only because I ordered it new. Then I bring it in to the farthest store as instructed because there was a replacement for me there only to find out there wasnt a replacement there and that now I had to wait for a new one by mail. The new one came in AND WOULD NOT CHARGE!!!!!! I had to return that one. I am so irritated about it. I decided to not buy a new one.

This laptop overheats when the hyperdrive is used, it cuts on and off sporadically too

Had this mac for a month and already had to send it in for repair. Had to replace the logic board already. May have just stuck with my 2013 MacBook pro with no issues.

Bought this laptop with Apple Care for $3400 and 5 weeks later it doesn't work. Shuts down repeatedly and error codes galore! Best Buy won't allow me to return it. Apple support is terrible. Just because it is an Apple product doesn't make it any better than any other product out there. Experiencing extreme buyers remorse!

super hot!!!! this mac is super super hot. I do not recommend it!

The screen had a line after a few months of use. Per geek squad it was an internal crack. The geek squad person said that I cracked the screen but couldn’t tell me how. I explain that the mac stays in a carrying case in my closet. It appeared one day when I was using it. Took it in just for them to tell me that they’re waiting on parts and there’s no ETA.

This was a fraud purchase in your store in Victorville California while I was in Mew Mexico. I was on the phone with your fraud department while the transaction was happening and your team still let the purchase go through. In addition to this your store representative allowed the identity thief to shut down my AT&T cell phone and themselves to my account and change all my password

Not able to download photos from camera or card. Not very happy with my purchase at the moment! Maybe I got a LEMON:( Maybe I should have purchased from Apple, where I got my last MacBook Pro. Which lasted about 15 years and worked great!! Meet with Geek Squad tomorrow. Don’t like Hyperdrive, seems kinda hokey. Would rather have everything built in with a little thicker MacBook Pro like I use to have.

Cord smelled like disgusting mold. The entire box smelled like mold when I opened it made me start sneezing. I was desperate for a work computer but would have returned if I could buy out of two week period. I had to buy a different power chord. I Googled and found this is a common issue can’t believe Best Buy and Apple sell $3k computer that is exposed to mold.

I have owned each iteration of the MBP 15 (as well as numerous PC laptops), since the 2016 release. The MBP 16 is easily the best of the MBP bunch and performance/dollar finally seems to be becoming more reasonable. For the same price as the prior MBP 15, you now get: *** Better keyboard. This version is significantly more pleasant to type on and should leave the reliability issues of the butterfly keyboard behind. *** Better cooling. The laptop still runs hot, as do all with these CPUs, but it runs at higher clockspeed for longer. Depending on workload, I'm usually seeing at least a 10-15% improvement in CPU performance *** Much better GPU. This was my primary reason for upgrading, the 5500m is MUCH faster than the 560x and even the Vega 20 *** Better display and battery. For such a small increase in display size, it really feels more significant and is a great form factor. Battery life should also be slightly improved due to the larger 100WH battery, but I've only had limited experience on battery at this time *** 1TB storage vs the prior model 512GB at this price point All in all, while you are still paying an "Apple Tax", it at least feels that you are now getting performance and specs more in line with what you would expect for a $2700+ laptop. I foresee my PC laptop finally being relegated to the sidelines.

Very upset with this Mac Pro I open the box recently and the period for return expired Some of the computer Application doesn’t work I’m thinking Best Buy sold me something that somebody returned Very expensive and is a piece of crab I’ll never Buy apple products any more. This is the last time I use Best Buy

The computer is exceedingly unstable. Have owned for less than a month now and it is slow or has completely shut down in the middle of important jobs on three separate occasions. I have had several jobs that are time sensitive, and in a pinch, I have had to go back to the much earlier model MacBook.

Product gets a much higher rating, but it was shipped ground when it should have been shipped via air. The logistics team chose poorly and the product I needed to be shipped for a deadline missed due to a poor shipping choice. Customer Service was not helpful in resolving my concern. Therefore 1 star.

I have returned this once, the replacement unit has issues and was sent to texas for repairs, they had it for 12 days . when I picked it up it was NOT repaired, had the same friggin problem and is now at the genius bar for the repair, a repair they said couldn't be done at the genius bar, which is why they sent it out the first time

runs way too hot for a 3000 dollar computer. Couldn’t justify it

This computer has been completely useless…had it sent back for not being able to charge, but only months later the same issues. It has served as a paperweight. So difficult to get serviced in my area it’s just been a constant reminder of wasted money.

I have been using the largest most upgraded last model 17" Apple made in late 2011. I've used this laptop for 7 years. I'm a full time film director by trade, but on my projects I offline/online edit, offline VFX, write and make complicated decks to pitch my material. The old Mac has been doing a fantastic job hopping between After Effects, Photoshop, and Premiere. But at the end I was maxing my machine. Worked great until this summer. I literally got laughed at at meetings and made a lot of people on planes irritated, but I held strong. This is the upgrade I have been waiting for. Since the 17" went away I feel like Apple has been working out all the kinks for the last 5 years. This is the machine that will get me through another 5 years. As a pro I HATE to upgrade my computer its like loosing an old friend so believe me when I say, use the last 7 years of MY research and buy this computer. I would not have said this about any of the previous MAC books that came out before this. This is the same purchase I made 7 years ago. Thanks MAC for listening to us. Oh and I skipped all the lame keyboard issues this thing feels just like my old one. There are little MAC things that I could drum up for the negatives, but if you know MAC these are "quality problems" compared to using a windows machine. If you know your stuff this is a no-brainer. Onward!
