Customers are saying

Customers love the MacBook Pro 16" for its impressive performance and large screen size, frequently praising its ease of use and the innovative Touch Bar. While some users mention the high price point and heat generation, many appreciate the lightweight design and excellent speakers. Concerns about the limited port selection and fan noise were also noted.

    MBP16 Core i9 - 8 cores!

Plenty of horsepower for running MacOS and Windows 10 Pro. I use both OSes (as I need Windows for CAD), and now instead of carrying two laptops (a Surface 3 and MB 13"), I use just one with bootcamp. The 8 cores are plenty for my work. Although thermal management leaves a little to be desired. With MacOS, and doing normal browsing, email client with 10 accounts, and brightness set to 60%, the battery lasts around 8 hours. With the new Microsoft Edge (based on Chromium), I've observed improved battery life over Safari whereas Chrome drains faster. With Windows (on bootcamp), Apple's drivers are not very efficient, and I get 3-4 hours doing CAD work (mostly 2D CAD & simulations). Refer to the big search engine on how to power optimize MacOS for better battery life. Remember that a brand new MBP will take between 5-10 full charge/discharge cycles to reach optimized battery life numbers.

Great MacBook Pro and super fast. Loved the ouch bar, but found I didn't really use it as much as I thought I would. Great picture and always great craftsmanship with Apple products. Rated this a 4/5 only due to how much heat this thing generates (don't wear shorts while using) and how short the battery life is compared to a MacBook Pro with the M1 chip.

So far it's good...fast, smooth and errorfree. I use bootcamp a lot and it installed without a hitch. I would have preferred Apple cpu hardware but bootcamp only works with the Intel cpu. As always, Apple is expensive but it's what I needed.

I replaced an older Mac with this one. Love the 16" display and am using the Touch Bar more and more. Just needed to get used to having it available at my finger tips. The screen is crisp and clear, sound is awesome and love the bigger track pad. Great computer.

Well I thought the 15 inch was great. Tis is even better. Speakers are louder. Screen is absolutely beautiful !! It is pricey, but BB had $100 off and I got 6% rewards. So how can you beat that. Worth the money.

Love the MacBook Pro 16” Needed a new computer for design work and this fit the Bill. While I wanted the new M1 chip I did not want to wait another 6-9 months. All programs should be supported on this platform for many years to come.

Best computer I’ve ever owned! Screen is amazing, and performance unparalleled! I use it for video and music production, and also preparing instructional materials, on top of personal use. I haven’t been able to make this thing break a sweat. Super stable.

I needed a larger screen than my 2010 MacBook Air so I went with the MacBook Pro. Working on it from home has been so much better than viewing spreadsheets on a smaller screen and I can move my position from room to room, though I won't be taking it on trips as it is just too heavy to lug around. Newer keystrokes take practice and some still elude me but I am generally happy with the processor, speed and memory.

I really love the size of the display and Touch Bar. This thing is a beast and has a nice sound quality. Wasn’t expecting the speakers to be so loud, which is a good thing! Overall I am happy with my purchase.

I absolutely love my 16 inch MacBook Pro! I upgraded from my 15 inch, which was getting old and had slowed down. The new 16 inch is super fast and gets the job done for sure. I'll forever be a MacBook Pro fanatic.

Great Internal Upgrade, Beset by Acc. Issues

The new MacBook Pros feature fantastic internal upgrades, and I can't recommend them, enough. And that's where the fanboy-ing ends. Apple made the very stupid decision to "streamline" their device by doing away with every drive, port, and input/output port on their computers, replacing them with four USB-C ports. This means that the very reasons people in the arts purchase MBPs for are now made virtually inaccessible without a hundred-dollar+ external dongle that doesn't stay plugged in to their new MBP's loose UCB-C ports. No SD or MicroSD cards; no regular USB ports; no HDMI inputs/outputs; not Ethernet ports. Everything is gone. If you're a photographer that uses a camera that stores photos on an SD card, you're screwed. A musician that requires inputs for your instruments? You're out. The Touch Bar also...exists. I have yet to use it for anything other than adjusting volume, brightness, backlights, and basic F-key functions, so all of the bells and whistles? Virtually worthless, and actually ends up getting in the way, a lot. The MUCH wider trackpad is also a downgrade, from my perspective, as it sits where people naturally rest their wrists while typing. If you hold your hands where they are technically supposed to go on a QWERTY keyboard, the entirety of your thumb joints rests on top of the touchpad, which causes unwanted inputs that create clicks and move cursors all over your screen. So - great internal upgrades; terrible external hardware downgrades.

What can you say… it’s a new MacBook! Love the speed. Replacing a 2015 that’s still in decent shape, but needed more horsepower. Love the new Touch Bar, and I can’t believe how fast it charges.

Great video, sound, Keyboard, and performance. I wish it had USB ports integrated but I get the space issue, for the cost Apple should include a HDMI, USB, and charge pass through adapter.

Upgraded speakers are perhaps the best I've heard on any laptop. Bigger screen, great graphics. Apple even fixed the keyboard problem. What else can I say? It's a new and improved Mac and it's great. Even better if you catch it on sale as I did.

Love this laptop. I haven't slowed this unit down yet. Running 4 screens during online tabletop rpg events, with graphic, audio, camera intensive play and it hums along. I added a fan tray under it, as it tends to run hot.

Traded up my 2018 15” to get the 2019 15” just to have this announced a couple days later. Long story short, I returned my 2019 15” and got this beauty! Fast powerful, great sound, nice and crisp and obviously the upgraded keyboard. Great machine!
