Open-box certified purchase excellent
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great deal on open-box online purchase. Screen resolution is amazing, computer is very fast. Macbook Pro is a bit heavier than Macbook Air, but it's obviously a more powerful computer, and has multiple ports. Add-on purchases I found to be useful are external numberpad, mouse, and port extender from USB-C to USB-A so I can use my existing peripherals. Unit was well packed, in excellent shape upon delivery.

Value not worth the dollars
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Value not worth the dollars; the price is way too expensive and the options for both memory and hard drive space is not available at a reasonable cost. The only other option is 16mb and 1 tb. Additionally, I had to buy or spend $100 dollars on a device to use USB ports and an additional lighting charger. This should have already been integrated into the PC as it’s already high priced.

Nice machine, outside of running hot/fan noise.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased an open box model. I'm guessing it was on display prior to the sale, because there was a significant amount of battery drain. despite limited cycles. Next time, I'd definitely purchase new. Great machine outside of the battery, and the sometimes extensive use of the fans in an attempt to cool itself down.

Core i9 with upgrades a buy even in M1 era.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great condition for Open-Box. The M1's are all the rage but when you need a fast mac to run processor intensive apps that are not yet M1 native (Rossetta 2) 0 for our use-case the highly discounted the i9 was a better buy.

New MacBook Pro
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My daughter needed a new computer for college. The MacBook Pro that she had been using was at least 7 years old. She was pretty adamant that she wanted the larger screen size but that put the computer out of our budget with her college expenses. We went to look hoping to be able to convince her to get the 13" version. We had a great Apple tech help us in the store. He had an open box of the 16" with specs that my daughter agreed would meet her needs. This was close enough to our approved budget that we made the purcahse. The tech was very understanding of our situation and wasnt condesending about our abudge at all. He went above and beyond to help my wife and I as well as our daughter. Dealing with 50 year old parents and a 19 year old daughter is a skill in itself. I wish i had his name because he was a rock star. We did not plan on buying the computer that day but we did based on his assitance.

My first Mac..
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've always used Windows PC's and laptops but decided to go with a Mac this time just because I wanted to learn something new. Things are definitely different on the Mac side but they're not bad. A little trial and error and some researching and I should have this thing down within the next couple of weeks. SO far, I am very impressed with the build quality and overall responsiveness of the os. I really like the fact that I can mirror or extend my display on my TV but that may also be the case with newer Windows laptops so this may not be a Mac specific point but really nice either way. I did spend 30 minutes on my first day trying to figure out how to right click on a desktop icon to delete it from the desktop only to discover that it doesn't work like that, felt silly after finding out how it's done. Overall, glad I made the purchase and looking forward to learning more about the OS in the coming months.

Learning curve
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had iPhones for the past several years but switching to a MacBook for the first time is an extreme learning curve!! So far I love the fact everything can easily transfer from my phone and I can continue working where I left off. BUT, basic functions are NOT EAST to figure out. YouTube has become my best friend for learning to work my computer. It also gets very hot so sitting it on your legs isn’t really a comfortable option. Still learning!

Apple Mabook Pro 16"
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works great. The only problem I have is adjusting the font size on the screen. It's either too small or too large. I am constantly adjusting. Other than that, no problems at all. It is an upgrade to my Macbook Pro 17". Also, the resolution is very clear and sharp.

Terrific for professional video and photo editing
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My wife is a professional photographer and I bought this computer for her to edit her pictures on the go. She absolutely loves it and actually uses it for editing all the times instead of hogging up my gaming rig :).

Macbook fixed
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a PC guy and have a high end gaming desktop but I love apple. I tried the 2015 and 2017 macbook pros but returned them both within a week because of issues with thermal throttling or other problems. This is the macbook I always wanted. Fast and powerful and built like a tank.

Solid laptop for video/photo/animation editing
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I work as a creator meaning I have an endless amount of tabs open and photoshop, illustrator, lightroom, and premier open simultaneously. I tried the Razor Blade 15 and I overloaded it. I returned it for this MacBook and I'm so happy I did! It can handle my workload. Sometimes it can slow down but its only happened a couple of times but ill close a couple of things and its fine. Mac is still the top notch when it comes to content creation.

It’s an Apple…need I say any more?
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Too if the line (for it’s time). 16” is great relief for in-laws in their later years. (Adjust the resolution as needed.). MacOS and Apple…you can’t go wrong. Replaces a 2012 MacBook Pro. That’s how good these products are!

Great Mac for editing photos and videos
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great lap top for editing photos and videos. I'm a screenwriter, photographer and videographer and as much as I have enjoyed my Mac Book Air, the bigger screen and additional features for editing have really enhanced my ability to turn out some great material.

Go Mac!! You will never go back to PC.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love it! It's my third Mac laptop and fourth Mac overall. Would definitely recommend if you need more storage space and tired having to transfer files to external drive you need ro delete for more space. The only bad thing is it runs hot if you have too much connected. This is my first Mac to do that or the first I’ve noticed. So, find a laptop stand to give your computer breathing room.

Works as Advertised - if not better
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is our first Apple computer. It replaced a Windows based laptop that was giving us fits since the day we bought it. It's nice turning on the laptop and knowing it'll come on. The one this one replace was iffy at best.....

Best Macbook Ever
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just traded up from the 2019 15" to the 2019 16". It's a far better machine all the way around. Display, keyboard, thermals, speakers, memory clock rate, price, etc. If you are trying to decide between the two, go for the 16", there is no contest between the two.

Stick with Windows: Hindsight 2020 Would Not Buy
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While I am a long-time iPhone user and iPad user, it’s the Apple laptop that’s proving to be the most frustrating disappointing device all. These tiny inconveniences only become glaringly apparent when you’re working on your laptop 8 to 10 hours a day. Are you transitioning from a Windows laptop? It's not worth changing to MacBook. In typical fashion, it's overhyped and overpriced for what it is. Despite all the flashy catchy specifications, the I-9 processor doesn’t feel that much faster than the i7. It may be better not to splurge as most Mac laptops are terribly overpriced. They’re like vehicles in the sense that 1-2 months after you buy them they lose like $1000 in value. Hindsight 2020, I wouldn’t buy it again. They have legit usability issues that they haven’t fixed in years. Example: Windows: if you want to take a screenshot you press 2 keys. Mac: press 3 or 4 keys for a screenshot shortcut If you're a designer, and you take screenshots every week, it gets really annoying to press 3 or 4 keys to take a screenshot. The fans are loud! You'd think with this price point the fans would be quiet. Like all things, try it out, and form your own opinion.
