Great macbook

It's way more machine than I needed. I haven't been able to max out the CPU's and memory yet. Solid build and quality.

Okay not Great

I am sure Apple will take care of the product but I when I make a purchase I am hoping to have zero issues.

Heat management issues

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The MacBookPro is a fine machine and still my choice, but in the last couple years has suffered from a serious design flaw -- potentially fatal (to the machine) heat-management problems, to the point that the hardware can be damaged. This destroyed the last one which was less than two years old. Now I'm super careful not to let it overheat, which means monitoring CPU temp and sometimes shutting down apps I might've wanted to use. For such a powerful machine, some fairly undemanding apps completely overwhelm it. (As a guess, out-of-date apps, e.g., running old Java JREs, seem to be the culprit).
