This was an openbox item classified as "Excellent" and happy with the quality of the mac. Mac felt new, no cosmetic issues or anything like that. Rated only 3 for following reasons, 1. Did not come up with user guide or any material that usually comes with unopened item. 2. History of the mac is, someone purchased it on Dec 6, returned on Dec 10 and bestbuy restored to factory setting on Jan 10. I bought this as Open Box on Jan 15, delivered Jan 18 with guarantee that I will have full 1 year warranty from Apple. But this only has warrant until Dec 6. I have already contacted Apple and they have not able to restore it to 1 year warranty so far. Point is, Bestbuy even though restored to factory settings, they did not ensure the Apple warranty is restored properly. So if you want to enjoy full warranty, please do not buy openbox or make sure you are fine with reduced warranty. Bestbuy should be explicit about this and not hide the fact that original warranty with openbox item will be reduced.

This MacBook Pro 16” M4 is a big disappointment. I have used Macs and iPhones for years and am an average user - no demanding gaming, developer or video editing. I bought this for the screen size. That said, after I set it up, it wouldn’t recognize my user password? I contacted Apple and after over one hour chatting and on the phone, they told me it was a hardware issue and sent me a box to ship it to them and no time estimate to repair it. I returned it to BB for an exchange and over a week later I haven’t received the exchange and no estimated delivery date. I don’t recommend having this shipped and if you don ‘t have an Apple Store where you live.
