Macbook Pros continue to be the best laptop you can buy. Quality material, insanely fast, and the best batteries around. Perfect for everyone; programmers, photo/video editing, consumers, entertainment, some gaming, AI, etc. Highly recommend. Best Buy's Open Box Refurbished section has great deals.

The best laptop I have ever owned. I had a Microsoft Surface Pro. It was good to me for over 5 years. It was time for an apple product. I am enjoying it so far.

The M5 Pro with 24GB is plenty for my workflow. Fast, silent under load, and the battery easily gets me through a full day. Snappy performance, gorgeous display, and excellent build quality. The 24GB M5 Pro hits a great balance of power and price. Big jump from my older Mac. The M5 Pro handles heavy multitasking without breaking a sweat , and the battery life is fantastic.

Incredible Performance and Battery Life – Best

I’ve been using the 16-inch MacBook Pro with the M5 Pro chip for a few weeks now, and it’s easily one of the most powerful laptops I’ve ever owned. Performance is outstanding — the 18-core CPU and 20-core GPU handle everything from heavy multitasking to video editing and demanding apps without slowing down. The 48GB of memory makes a huge difference when running multiple pro apps at once. The display is stunning as expected, with incredible brightness and color accuracy, and the Space Black finish looks premium and clean. Battery life is also impressive for a machine this powerful — I can get through a full workday without worrying about charging. Thermals and fan noise are well managed, even under load. Everything feels fast, smooth, and reliable. The only downside is the price, but if you need top-tier performance, it’s absolutely worth it. Overall, highly recommended for professionals or anyone who wants the best MacBook experience available right now.

This is my first MacBook after using Windows laptops for years, and I honestly wish I had switched sooner. I was a little worried about learning macOS, but the transition was much easier than I expected. Within a few days, I was navigating the system comfortably, and now I actually prefer it. The 16-inch display is stunning—everything looks crisp, bright, and incredibly smooth. Whether I’m working, streaming videos, or editing photos, the screen is a pleasure to use. The battery life has also exceeded my expectations. I can use it all day without constantly reaching for the charger. The performance is incredible. Apps open instantly, multitasking is effortless, and the laptop stays quiet even when I’m running multiple programs. The keyboard feels great to type on, the trackpad is the best I’ve ever used, and the speakers sound amazing for a laptop. What surprised me most is how polished the overall experience feels. Everything works seamlessly, and macOS has been stable, intuitive, and enjoyable to use. As a first-time Mac user, I expected a steep learning curve, but it turned out to be much more user-friendly than I imagined. It’s definitely a premium-priced laptop, but after using it every day, I understand why so many people recommend it. If you’re a longtime Windows user who’s been thinking about trying a Mac, don’t let the change intimidate you. The 2026 16-inch MacBook Pro has made me a Mac user for life.

The computer arrived in a damaged MacBook box. The MacBook was listed as “excellent condition” what arrived was much less than that. Scuffs on the feet, oily residue on the keys. Fingerprints and marks on the screen. Don’t risk it. Customer service was useless.

This MacBook Pro has been outstanding. The performance is incredibly fast, even when running multiple applications, large spreadsheets, video meetings, and resource-intensive business software simultaneously. The display is beautiful, battery life is impressive, and the build quality is exactly what I’ve come to expect from Apple. The larger screen provides plenty of workspace without feeling cumbersome, making it an excellent choice for professionals who spend long hours on their computers. It’s one of the best productivity investments I’ve made and easily handles everything I throw at it.

    Fastest computer I've ever owned.

I've never owned an apple computer and haven't used a Mac since it was called "Macintosh." Apple lost me when they bricked my iPhone 2 with a system update. I switched to Android on the same day, and never considered owning an Apple product again. But I got sick of using Windows laptops that get hot when you use them, have loud fans that run constantly, and have the battery life of an electric chainsaw. I was optimistic about the announcement of the new Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme chips, but the manufacturers have taken too long to bring their products to market and I couldn't wait any longer to replace my aging Microsoft Surface Pro (I was truly all in on Windows and Microsoft). After a bit of research I decided to take a chance on this MacBook Pro. Yeah - it can run Windows if I need it, better than my Surface ever did. But I discovered that I don't need Windows and I haven't used it since I installed it. Heavy AI and data processing workloads are not so heavy on this laptop. It never gets hot, I have never heard any fan noise from it, and the battery lasts all day, every day if I need to be unplugged. I can't say enough good things about this computer. It does everything I wanted. The trackpad capabilities are amazing compared to my prior Windows laptop experience. Apple OS seems quirky at first coming over from a Windows environment, but once you get used to the differences, it is no big deal. Yeah - you scroll in the opposite direction. The important buttons are in the upper left corner, not the right (I have no idea what yellow does . . .), and windows and file management are both different, but not worse. Just different. File Finder is actually much faster and better at locating files on my laptop and external drives. As far as windows management goes, I find that I have far more windows open at once on this Mac because there is no end to its performance. Apple converted me only because they have a far superior product to anything else on the market.

I've gone through a lot of laptops over the years, and this is the first one where I genuinely stop thinking about the hardware and just get work done. The performance is ridiculous. I regularly have dozens of browser tabs open, huge Excel files, PowerPoint decks, Slack, and AI tools running at the same time, and the machine never feels like it's breaking a sweat. The 48GB of memory gives me confidence that I won't run into limits anytime soon. The display and battery life are just as impressive. The screen is incredibly sharp and bright, making long work sessions easy on the eyes, and the speakers are better than most external setups I've owned. Even under heavy workloads, the battery holds up far better than I expected, which means I'm not constantly hunting for an outlet when traveling or working away from my desk. It's expensive, but I view it as an investment rather than a gadget. If your laptop is a tool you rely on every day, the time savings and overall experience are worth it. The Space Black finish looks fantastic, the build quality is top-notch, and everything about the machine feels premium. I have zero regrets with this purchase and expect to be using it for years.

As a video creator making content for YouTube and Insta, the MacBook Pro 16" has completely transformed my post-production workflow. The huge, color-accurate screen is a total game-changer for editing timelines on the go without needing an external monitor. It cuts through heavy video rendering and timeline scrubbing like butter, and the laptop stays completely silent the whole time. The battery life is just insane, meaning I can literally edit a whole project off the grid without stressing about finding a power outlet. Plus, Airdropping heavy footage from my other Apple devices is instant, which saves me so much time during transfers. It’s hands down the ultimate mobile editing bay, and I couldn't imagine doing my content creation without it.

This is easily the most powerful laptop I’ve ever owned. The M5 Pro chip is blistering fast, and the 16-inch Liquid Retina XDR display is stunning for long coding sessions. The Space Black finish is sleek and resists fingerprints much better than expected. Battery life continues to defy logic given the performance level. Highly recommended for power users.

Good Machine, Do Not Buy Open Box

This machine is extremely fast! What speed and what processing capability. It was rather easy to set up from Time Machine. I saved my desktop from my previous MacBook on an external SSD. Keep in mind with the M5 chips that Intel based apps will no longer be supported. I have several on my HD, and I am still trying to determine how to handle this conundrum when it drops. I purchased this machine as an open box item at my local Best Buy. I saved some money purchasing this way, and I got more machine than I initially meant to purchase. I came into the store to discuss and potentially purchase the 16-inch MacBook Pro with the M5 Pro chip with 18-core CPU and 20-core GPU - 24 GB Memory and 1 TB SSD. The store associates convinced me to purchase the open box machine in this review. It was great at first. After using the machine for long periods of time, 2 to 4 hours of continual use, I noticed it was getting quite warm (almost hot). It seemed to be functioning slower than initially. I am not sure if this had something to do with apps I was running on the machine or my the restoration of my old desktop from Time Machine? I cannot say. I have no idea what was happening. It worried me to the point that I returned this machine to Best Buy two weeks after purchasing. I wish that I had not loaded my Time Machine backup onto this machine and gone with my gut instinct of a new, but lesser MacBook (the machine one step down). Needless to say, I ordered a new MacBook Pro 16-inch with the M5 Pro and 24 GB Memory. Being brand new, it was a little more involved to set up from Time Machine. However, it will be much easier to take advantage of price matching on the brand new machine, as I am a Total Plus Member.

The 16" MacBook Pro with the M5 Pro chip has been really good overall. Performance and build quality are solid, and it handles everything I need without issue. My one real complaint is the side slits for the speaker grilles. No one really talks about how sharp they are. I've noticed it on my friends 14" MacBook Pro as well. They caused problems when I was moving from room to room or trying to show a co-worker a project, catching or snagging in a way that made carrying it around more annoying than it should be. Otherwise a strong laptop, just wish the speaker design was more practical for everyday movement.

the laptop is great, fast (memory and SSD), nice graphic, amazing sound. You can run pretty much what you want in this laptop, the only downside is that is a little bulkier than the past version and little heavier too. The black version shows more fingerprints than the silver version, just FYI if you like to keep your device clean all the time

I recently upgraded to the 16-inch MacBook Pro M5 with 1TB of storage, and it’s like trading in a bicycle for a spaceship: The performance is nothing short of stellar. With its 10-core CPU and GPU, multitasking feels more like a magic trick—now you see lag, now you don’t! The display? Wow! I’m convinced it’s brighter than my future! The colors are so vivid that I almost want to decorate my living room with it! It’s perfect for creative work; I catch myself staring at my designs like, “Did I really create that?” The 1TB storage means I can stockpile videos, pictures, and, yes, an embarrassing number of cat memes without worrying. With this kind of space, I could probably host a small film festival right from my laptop! Battery life is impressive too. It lasts longer than my attempts to stay up past 10 PM! Even during intensive work sessions, I find myself still running on power while my coffee has long since run dry. The keyboard feels as smooth as a buttered slide, and the trackpad is so sensitive I could probably use it as a dance floor! Overall, the 16-inch MacBook Pro M5 is more than just a laptop; it’s a powerhouse of creativity, productivity, and a touch of magic. If you’re considering an upgrade, just remember: be prepared for your old laptop to feel envy!
