Got this for my 14 year old and she is very happy. She is a shutterbug and is enjoying the speed and ease of bringing in her photos. It is a great introduction into the world of Mac.

Will never go back to a Windows laptop again! Can do everything better and is easier and more reliable.

This is just what I wanted. I know about the new MacBookPro, but it was out of budget and you have to purchase an optical drive for an additional $80.00. I found this one at Best Buy, last one unopened. Cost me 100bucks to upgrade to 8mb ram and I love this laptop. Easy to transfer my items from my iMac over.... just love it!

First, it's a MacBook Pro, so yeah, it's good. If you're wanting to buy an older model, this is a solid purchase, and it's probably the oldest you can really get away with as a professional or student. I bought this in 2014, and it's going strong, all my hardware is still supported as far as I know. I use it as my primary development machine. That being said, my previous MacBook was a 2007 model, and after a RAM replacement, that machine still functions almost like new; shame the hardware is deprecated. With this 2012 model, it gets me by, but it's got some issues. Screen artifacts and weird graphics anomalies mainly, and also it's just very sluggish, even after memory upgrade. Just something to consider.

My daughter spilled an entire glass of water on my 3 year old MacBook Pro the other week. After looking at what it would cost to fix, it looked like the best solution was to simply replace it with another, better, newer version of the same laptop. Best Buy had the absolute best price. I even got a better deal with an open box item. The real bonus was that I bought it when Best Buy offered 5X Reward Zone points! What a deal on a great computer.

I am really glad I made the switch from PC to Mac. I love this laptop so much. I bought it for its strong and sturdy build, it doesn't seem like it will break easily, the backlit keyboard which makes life amazing, and the system. I love the way the macbook is organized. it is so easy to use. The only downside is it isn't as customizable as I would like it to be.

Good laptop, will recommend to my frnds. Apple is best anytime. Want to upgrade from 4 fb to 16 gb ram. Best buy is charging 40$ to install it even if it is buyed less than 1 month.

I purchased the mac book pro for a college student who requested this do all computer. It will keep her organized for school and has the ability to watch dvd's. She loves it!

This laptop is very durable I use it daily on the go.

I don't regret a second of the decision me and my wife made 2 years ago to turn from PC to Mac. Still I haven't found anything on our macs that aren't better in every way. Even if the price is higher, the quality is so much better anyway. Except a spilled glass of milk over the laptop (!!) we haven't had any problems with our 3 MacBooks. Highly recommend!

We already knew what we wanted and did the research. The reps were very helpful and ended up staying a few minutes passed closing to ensure we were happy with our purchase!
