While an older unit, this is the last model Macbook that isn't hard to open up and upgrade yourself. A steal with a great coupon!

this is a good product with fast high speed capability. It is very intuative and easy to use. The only frustration I have with it is the adaptability to be able to transfer files such as pics from an external hard drive.

It is great mac book for my daughter as beginner usage!

My friend bought this laptop cause his old pc broke. He now is update to date in technology and now he officially has the whole Apple suite. The Mac is great, I may get one soon.

So, clearly, Apple makes reliable computers. This is my third. I didn't waste my time with AntiVirus or warranty- unless you are accident prone, then highly recommended. But I would but I would recommend the Microsoft software if you're going to do word documents and power points. They're more universal and user friendly. Protect your investment with a case and sleeve, these things love to be scratched and dinged. Overall .. worth your money.

I am a complete apple fan. I have apple everything and I got all of my apple products from best buy. I love the laptop, love how everything connects, and everything easy to use.

Bought this for my husband for work and his movie making and editing purposes and he was quite excited. He also loves having a cd drive which the MacBook Air does not have.

Great laptop I bought for my daughter who is starting high school next year. I would rather have a Windows laptop for much less but if you are set on Apple you cant go wrong here

I bought this with the mindset that MacBooks were superior over PC laptops. The first thing I noticed was that it ran too slowly. It would take 30-60 seconds to load an application and felt laggy overall. Twice it crashed on me. As a PF debater, i found it cumbersome and too slow to find files quickly in order to show files for proof to my opponents. I'm currently trying to get a replacement to see if this was an isolated event. But for now, my HP dv5t of 6 years seems to run just as fast if not faster and smoother. I was told that the reason for it being slow was because it had the old HDD storage system (disk) instead of the newer SSD (chip) like te newer MacBooks. But those are way too expensive for very little data (128-256GB).
