If you are looking for a computer,this is the one you need. I have had my macbook pro for a long time and it still runs as if I got it yesterday. You could not go wrong with picking this computer. It will last you a long time and will not let you down. Before I got this computer I used a Samsung computer and then a windows computer and both of those combined last me about 3 years. Bought one for the wife last year. She loves it! Had to buy one for the daughter this year. They both are very pleased with their MBPs.

This MBP is awesome. I still like to use the superdrive and I still use Firewire 800 so this was basically the only choice but still a great one. I dropped a 512gb 850 Samsung Pro in it and put 16gb ram. This sucker reboots in 15 seconds. The size (13.3") is perfect. A lot lighter than my 2011 15" and definitely a lot cooler running.

I'm pretty much a full time student, and the mac book pro makes an excellent laptop for my purposes. It's lightning fast, has incredibly intuitive controls, and has the long battery life that I need. I can leave my charger at home without worry. Of course, macs are expensive, but they also last much longer than most other laptops. They're well worth the money.

I purchased another 13" MBP for the family one we realized how versatile this machine was. Everyday chores - music, movies, social networking, surfing are handled with ease. As an amateur photographer, I found this laptop handled most edits with ease - after adding another 4GB of RAM for a total of 8GB. Since moving from a PC to a MAC, we've never looked back!

I finally made the switch from a PC to a Mac and I love it! I don't know what took me so long! If you have other apple products, this MacBook ties everything together for you. Macs connect friendly to social media networks as well. This specific Macbook has a CD drive - which was essential for me. It might be a little heavier than the air or pro retina, but we're not talking about any heavy lifting. Moreover you don't need a pro retina unless you're doing photoshop all the time. If you want the luxury of a macbook with the convenience of a CD drive, tons of storage, and you're not a professional photographer, this is the product for you!

Fast and great for editing photos. I like the smaller 13 inch because more portable.

My decision in buying this Mac book was based on my previous experience with Mac books and also the cost / benefit... Have in mind that all new Mac book models do not allow you to increase RAM memory... This was the last model to have this possibility, what is a differential! :-) Additionaly, you can change the HD to SSD, what will make the notebook an incredible piece of hardware.... So, buy it! :-)

EXTERIOR IS ATTRACTIVE. IS WELL BUILD AND FEELS SOLID. USER FRIENDLY AND WORKS WITH SPEED. GOOD TUTORIAL SUPPORT WHEN NEEDED.

This is my second macbook pro, i was going to go with the air, but i went for the faster and bigger version! :) I love it. I only wish APPLE would make the update for iPhoto or have it installed on here already, now have a new photo transfer app/system.

I was hesitant to go with a Mac, as I had always used Dell products. My daughters urged me to switch over, and I am so glad I did! It took me only a few hours to get the hang of the new system. I love the speed of this product. I have taken it on vacation and it is so lightweight and easy to set - up. I am very pleased with y new MacBook Pro notebook!

For Christmas holiday, I purchased a MacBook Pro 13" laptop for my husband. He had been talking about switching from a PC to a Mac for some time, but never made the move himself. For Christmas I gave him the MacBook. Wow, it has made a tremendous change in his enjoyment of laptops. The MacBook is sleek, elegant, and fast. He had no trouble adapting to the MacBook and now wants a desktop Mac as well. It works flawlessly with his iPhone and iPad. Now I'm read to purchase one for myself.

I love the ease of use of this Macbook. It's slim and light. Intuitive to use. There are a lot of great short cuts to learn.

Easy to carry with long battery life. The performance is great even when running Windows and Visual Studio under Parallels.

I have had several MacBooks and macbook pros and I am partial to this specific model. I have been informed that Apple will no longer make this model of macbook pro and this has not been updated since mid 2012. The thing is, just like the iPod classic with 160GB it has everything you need. Also just like the iPod classic, they discontinued that as well. I understand that they are upgrading to better hard drives and whatnot, but they are also eliminating disc drive and charging for an external one. Eventually I will follow suit, but for know, I am content with the this old tried and true mac pro. Its a great product that offers security, sleek style and is very user friendly.
