My daughter purchased this for school; it has been great!

I bought this macbook a month ago and this has not let me down yet. i was planning on getting a 300-500$ price range laptop but just looking at it in store and the feel of it made me change my mind! even though it may get scratches easily there are cheap cases out there like TopCase(i am using) I highly recommend getting a hardshell case or even rubberized. The trackpad is in good use. The longer the years with this one, the shorter the battery life will be. I personally would make the price of this laptop to about $700 just because it is too expensive for a laptop and I am a student so getting paid high from jobs isn't easy! I am though curious why apple couldn't make this one built with retina display. If this had a retina display, the price would make sense to a thousand dollars.

It's a classic MacBook. Great if you are looking for a machine that still has a DVD player

this is our first apple computer, and we got it because our kids have both the iPad and iPod and have had no trouble what so ever with them. so far this computer is very savvy. i love the way it looks and all of the icons at the bottom of the screen that are mostly used now a days.

I've found that this laptop is very easy to navigate and the setup was a breeze. The program tells you step-by-step how to get your information from your old machine, and it also provides help to finalize your settings. The operating system is so intuitive and easy to use, as well.

Purchased for my daughter who is going off to college. She absolutely loves this computer.

Love this MacBook Pro. 500 GB hard drive is a ton for me. The new i5 processor makes this machine fly. Multitasking is no problem. OS10 Mavericks upgrade and free iWork are just icing on the cake. Bought this as a family share computer but I may have to get them another. This one is mine.

This computer is great for a student just going into college. Switching over from Windows to Mac is a little confusing, but I'm in love with my computer. It's definitely worth the money I spent, I've had it for a few months now and haven't had any problems yet. A good investment overall.

This is the first Apple MacBook I've ever purchased. Bought for child going to college. Surprisingly easy to set up and use. Simple user interface with very shallow learning curve. I've always been a Windows PC user and was surprised with the ease of use and performance of the MacBook Pro.

It is a Very good Macbook for everyday use. The screen is not best, but good for the price.

Since this MacBook was an open box item, I got a better deal on it, but it still performs like new. I've always used a PC before this purchase, thinking the transition would be difficult. But, in just two days, I was fully functioning in the Apple world. So far, I'm glad I took the plunge.
