Laptop is excellent for a student. Lightweight and has the power and storage needed for a student

This is our 5th MacBook and I am impressed that Apple never stops improving on the little things. Love that this edition comes with an SD card reader and already installed document, spreadsheet and presentation programs. Speed and efficiency continue to improve as with all technology these days, but love that they have paid attention to the consumers on some of these other little upgrades. Once you go Mac you never go back!

I am a long time Mac user who loves these computers. I purchased one of these for my wife earlier in the year and was amazed at the changes since my 07 iMac. I am a electrical engineering student and I needed something g fast that can crunch date fast and I also needed windows. This Mac book pro offers great tools when using VMware fusion to run windows 7 ultra. It's a super seamless software and this computer handles it Very well both os systems run completely normal and in fact windows runs faster on this Mac than on the old pc I used to have. The aluminum case is flawless and durable and the screen is nice and clear. It comes wth lots of user needed programs as apple usually offers. It's battery last very long. It goes two days without charge overall an easy winner for anyone.

It's a great computer. Lots of memory and fast. Lightweight. Recommended by family member.

This machine is perfect for college students and home use. Compact, quick and easy to use.

The computer is best for budget mac buyers. The performance is great, even though I upgraded it to yosemite. It came default with mavericks. Only advice, is please don't ever use file vault feature as it slows down the machine dramatically, and also couple of other things like transparency and all will effect the performance. But major issue is with file vault where it sometimes bring the machine to unrecoverable state!

Excellent value. Thankful I got it on Black Friday. Looks identical to my 2011 MBP, but faster, has USB 3 and double the memory. It has the cd/dvd player. With the air I wouldn't have had that. (My 2011 MBP still works, but only when I am at an elevation above 4000 feet. When I am at sea level, the trackpad can't control the cursor. The cursor flies all over, totally out of control.) So far, this MBP is a great product.

Great laptop for the price apple makes great products and this laptop gets the job done.

the laptop is very easy to use and is very fast. was what I was used to running in school.

It is quite different from other computers I have had (all windows pcs). At this point, I prefer the Windows pc (my hp). However, it is a learning process. I like it better and better as I become more familiar with it. It seems to be more for non-computer people. I use Microsoft Office a lot and really miss it. Pages, Keynote, and Numbers seem to do the job, but like anything new to you, it will take a while to learn. I am sure I will really like it later on. I like that the battery lasts all day (7 hours or so). That's an improvement over the 3 hours for my old laptop. This review should be written after I have had the Mac awhile. I would recommend it, but I would explain it is DIFFERENT. Currently, I prefer the hp.

This was such an amazing buy. Got an open box item for a little cheaper than what I was expecting to pay so I'm very happy w/ the purchase :) Will definitely be back multiple times before Christmas

Purchased this laptop for my child, loves the laptop. The screen is large and easy to use.

I have been using my iPhone since my windows laptop when down many years ago. I decided that a Macpro would be a great companion and stay in the Apple family. I bought this unit as I still use DVDs. Now I'm able to synchronize without any worries. Screen is sharp and lighted keyboard is a positive. Unit is on the heavier side but sturdy. Connections are located on the left side and easily assessable.

It is easy to use for any Mac users or new beginners. A lot more sturdier than a Mac Air.

I bought this computer for my daughter, She uses it to perform different tasks, such as working with video editing, design and PhotoShopp, this computer comes with different applications that allow her to work with Music (Garage Band). It has a very stylish and sophisticated design though it is quite delicate. The battery lasts longer than her previous computer, it usually last for about five hours depending on what she is working on,

The Apple Mac Book Pro is everything that I expected.My son has owned one of these for 5 years now and hasn't any issues with his Apple Mac Book Pro.I really didn't want to spend the money on the Apple but I grew tired of cheaper brands that didn't last more than a few years at best. During the short time of owning the cheaper brands I experienced many issues such as slow start up and response .
