So it was vital to get him a mac. so far it is great he can continue his work at home, save it, and open it at school.

I love apple products due to their durability and reputation. My son doesn't leave it anywhere. He completely loves it

Awesome computer

The only negative I have is that the display is not as good as the retina display models, but it's also cheaper than they are.

I've dropped it and it has kept it's shape. No dents. No scratches. Display is beautiful.
