I love this computer! It is easy to use, not a great learning curve. Easy to set up and use. I bought it for college and so far it is working great! I like it because it has several USB ports, a port for my scan disk for photos and a disk drive. All things I need and want and didn't have to buy separately for the other computer I was comparing this one to.

I purchased this over two years ago. Still working great. Good battery life. Weights a little but yet again cant complaint as there are lighter more expensive models out. I like that it has USB and CD unlike the lighter models. I wold suggest not saving documents directly into MacBook but getting an external hard-drive.

My first Apple, excellent product! Almost went the cheaper route thinking technology changes so fast will have to upgrade in 2 - 3 yrs, but everyone I know who has an Mac says they have had theirs for 5 years or more and it is just as viable. I am still learning about all the bells and whistles, but it has performed every task perfectly so far. Glad I went Mac.

I upgraded from after 10 years of Windows. I will not go back. It took maybe 3 days to get used to it. Love the simplicity of the cross platform syncing(iPhone,iPad). It's fast, quiet, light weight and it's user friendly. Wish it had a 10 key.

It is much faster than my last laptop And it seems easier to use.

I bought this version because of the ability to upgrade Ram to 16 GB and HD to SSD. As soon as I brought it home, I upgraded the RAM to 16GB and the HD to a Crucial SSD. Performance is great, and if HD ever fails, or I want a larger one, it is a simple, inexpensive fix. The newer Retina Macbook Pro's don't allow you to upgrade RAM and don't allow you to easily upgrade HD. You are stuck with what you get, or have to pay a very heavy premium for upgrades from Apple. I would rather stick with slightly older technology that i have the freedom to easily upgrade RAM and HD whenever I please without paying extremely high prices for Apple to do it.

About 7 year ago I switched over from owning PCs for 10+ years to "trying out" the Mac. After learning the iOS I knew I couldn't go back. I owned the MacBook prior to this MacBook Pro, and I have to say the speed of launching all the apps is night and day. Also, the retina display make watching downloaded movies enjoyable. If you don't need the memory or CD Rom, go for the less expensive MacBook Air. But if you want a machine that acts as your primary computer for internet, media, office use, hands down the MacBook Pro will not disappoint!

I had been Pining over a computer for some time now and was going to purchase one refurbished. I knew I wanted and Apple Laptop just the means of getting and deciding what I wanted. Was going to go for a more updated computer but chose this one for the disc drive and ease and mobility. Excellent computer and very please with my purchase. Thank you.

Fast and easy service. The computer was easy to set up. Scheduled an intro class at the Apple Store shortly after receiving this product. My only disappointment was when he told me this was an older model that hadn't been updated for 3 years. I thought I was getting a new model since it was a new computer. Other than that it works great so far.

We purchased this MacBook for our daughter, soon to be college student. And it has all the essentials and is a great investment. The pro is a lot more reliable than the air and has many more features. Great speed, great picture quality, lots of memory and overall great laptop.

This is my first ever mac and I absolutely love it! Easy to setup and use, great battery life and amazing display. The i7 processor makes this computer perform really fast. Although, with such power the computer tends to heat up quicker...

I deliberated between getting this 2012/2013 computer and the more recent ones. The difference is the GB is 500 on this and the new macbook closest in price has 128GB. Yes, you can add to that, but it costs 400 bucks to do so after the fact thus it is cheaper to buy the newer one with more GB rather than installing more later. By the time you add more GB then the price difference between a newer comparable model to this one is rather a wide spread. I hope my gamble pays off.

Once again, Apple has proven a leader. Great computer. The size is perfect for taking from school to home to travels. Visuals are sharp. Perfect match with my iPhone and other Apple products..love how they automatically sync. I was a bit concerned about purchasing at Best Buy rather than directly from Apple but it worked out just fine...saved $ too.

Bought this for my daughter to go to school. Very easy to setup. She was up and running in 5 minutes. Processor is fast. Battery life is great. Looking to purchase one for me now!

I heard that an Apple would be faster and better than other computers, but nobody told me that my new Samsung phone wouldn't back up on it easily...that's real hurdle. Plus my Canon copier will print from it, but will NOT SCAN with the Apple.....That was also a negative surprise. So I will need to get an iphone to replace my new Samsung so that they will work together, and will have to dig up my old laptop to scan a document. Other than that, it's a nice computer.
