I was debating between MacAir and the Pro and went with a Pro. Didn't regret a second! It is more practical for me since I still use CDROM for Netflix old movies or for my studies when there is a CD in a book for tests or ideas. The battery life is very good too!

My 15" MacBook Pro died after 2 years & 8 months due to "Intermittent GPU Failure." I was so upset I REFUSED to buy another one for $1900!!! :-( No MacBook Pro should die after such a short time and it appears to be a common occurrence with late 2011 MB Pro!) I liked buying top of the line and always got at least 8 years from them, however I couldn't do it this time after this "Intermittent GPU Failure." THANK GOODNESS EVERY WEEK, I BACKED UP TO AN EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE USING SUPERDUPER AND WAS ABLE TO USE MIGRATION ASSISTANT TO GET THINGS BACK ASAP! I paid $1000 and figured I have $900 ready to replace this one when it goes! I miss the speed of the i7 chip and the 16 GB of memory it had. As for the computer itself, IT IS A MAC and appreciate the ease of use. I like the 13" feel for portability as the 15" & 17" feel so awkward in comparison. I'm able to tolerate the i5 chip speed being slower but will HAVE TO upgrade memory to 8 GB. 4 GB just seems not to be enough for my need to run 2 browsers at the same time. This is my second MacBook Pro. It is wonderful.. I had purchased a Asus Window 8 computer and returned it the next day. Didn't like it and it was not as easy as the Mac is. I will always stay with Mac.s

This is my second MacBook Pro. I'm not a "techie" and this laptop is very user friendly. It has all the programs installed when you buy it which is quite a savings.

If you've never owned a MAC before it can take some time to figure out where everything is.However once you play with it for a bit, it's easy and convenient to use.Start up, power down, and regular use is easy and it operates at a high speed.I like that the MAC tells you when you have an update for an app At first I was a tad apprehensive after seeing the price plus the warranty and protection plan but I see that it is worth it. Overall, I am glad that I've purchased my MAC.

5 years ago I bought this computer for my daughter and now she is in her 2nd year of high school and I see her tonight printing report she wrote on the computer, talking about a bang for you buck !!!@ she does take care of it well

This TV IS WORTH GETTING FOR THE PRICE!! It's perfectlly sized for your bedroom, with many of the "smart" amenities... It's anti-glare, great picture and volume,were very satistified that we went back and bout 2 more for our house. Overall, a great product!!!

I've not bought one before so this is new to me. This particular MacBook was highly recommended to me by several family members. I bought it during one of those flash sales so the price was incredible. Just learning to use it & I'm loving it! Thanks.

I am loving the speed of this, I love the size, and I like that it looks sleek, but still proper for work. Have been using it everyday and have been loving it!

I have been a Mac user for many years, and have watched the evolution of their laptop products. This iteration of the MacBook pro is simply a workhorse. While there are more expensive versions of the MacBook that you can buy (retina display, etc..) this one is the best bang for the buck, in my opinion. The case is extremely well designed (I had dropped a previous one from 12 feet up onto a concrete surface, and while the case and screen were destroyed, the machine still operated!!) The standard screen display is more than adequate for 95% of users, so the extra $$ the retina display is unnecessary. Two recommended upgrades to improve your computing experience: 1.) Increase your local RAM to at least 8 GB. This will allow you to have more applications open at one time, and they will respond much more quickly, and 2) convert your standard hard drive to a solid state (flash) drive. Both of these improvements are easy to do and relatively inexpensive, and will make your experience with this laptop 100x better.

This computer suits all of my needs. It is also able to accept RAM and HDD and SSD upgrades which puts it on par with the higher priced newer models. Mine is zippy as zippy can be. The built in optical drive is a must for when I am traveling as well.

I have used several MacBooks in the past. My recent MacBook Air was damaged with water and was unable to be repaired. I didn't have to hesitate what I would get next. My family has had MacBooks that have lasted 7+ years! They are great products!

I love Apple and all of their products. This is one that I have loved since I got it. It was an older generation Mac but still a great purchase. It allows me to do everything I want with it and I could not be happier with it.

As a reluctant PC convert, I am loving my MacBook Pro. Intuitive and easy to use right out of the box. I had several difficulties ordering it and picking it up, but a couple of exceptional Best Buy employees got everything sorted out for me. Well done!

I bought this for school and it is equally a good as my iMac! Easy to get to know the new buttons and configuration that Apples uses as compared to my old windows system. lightning fast and plenty of room for storing my pictures and school work!

I bought this for college, I had a working pc but wanted a Mac. I love it. I use it way more than I ever used my pc. When you open it up it's ready to go.. my pc used to take forever to turn on and always was "configuring". It takes a few days to get used to the change but once you learn its software it's simple. It's so quiet(no noisy fan) and doesn't get hot. I still put it on a cooling pad when it's on my lap but I don't think it's necessary. Love the light up key board too. Overall it's the best computer I've ever had. Very user friendly and easy to access quickly. Perfect for school.

Your staff at best but has great knowledge of the products and were very helpful! This MacBook Pro is a great product and i would recommend it to anyone who is in the market for a laptop. The price was also another great reason to buy it at best buy.

Finally went and upgraded my system. After years of procrastinating I decided to get the Apple. It's so easy to set up and navigate. It the beginning it was a little getting used to but once you get going it's a breeze. Don't know why it took me so long.

We converted my mom to an iPhone last year, so buying an iMac to replace her aging Windows machine made sense. It's been a pretty easy transition for this 84-year-old grandma. She's not afraid to learn new things and loves her new computer.

my daughter was sooo excited to open her MAC computer on Christmas day. Only the best will do and she loves it! No problems and easy set up. She will have this computer all through high school (8th grade now) and then some! worth the money!
