This is. You first Macbook and I am completely loving it. The price was not outrageous and the software is spot-on with my Internet and programming needs. I bought the magic mouse to go along with it and the pair couldn't be more perfect.

Lots of good things to say about this product. The track pad has a lot of different capabilities. The computer operating system (Mac OSX) is easy to use and user friendly. The track pad doesn't have buttons that can be accidentally clicked. The keys are backlit when needed. It's pretty. Watching movies in full screen has a clear picture and streams well, and the black background gives it a professional look (when not dirty from smudged fingerprints). The cooling fans also do not have to work as hard as other laptops I've used, even with the computer on my lap. This would be a great starting computer for anyone, whether going to college, upgrading from a Window's computer, retired, using for business, or gaming. It has great processing power and speed, HD quality screen, best operating system on the market, large storage capacity, decent battery life (6 - 10 hours with three applications constantly running), not too heavy or bulky, and not too expensive for a brand that is known for quality.

A durable laptop that does its job! I have owned another MacBook Pro and its lasted for a very long time. I purchased this one for my son.

This computer was really fast and operated great until I did the update to the newest OS X . Prior to the OS X update I also installed the maximum amount of RAM into the machine taking it from 4 GB 8 GB of RAM. With the ram upgrade it was a very nice and speedy machine but all things changed once I did the OS X update the machine is a lot slower now and it takes a few minutes seconds for programs to load and you see the Beachball and also the start up of the machine has increased significantly in time. Other than that it's a great machine I'm still learning how to use a Mac product as I come from a PC platform on my life hopefully things will improve in the future overall I give it a four because of the OS X update but other than that so far great virus free machine. I would recommend a Mac to somebody who wants to use computers and not constantly fix them and tinker around with them to get them to work.

I was a little iffy about buying this laptop due to the pricing, but I figured why not? I fell in love with this laptop the first day! It's an over-all beautiful laptop. The display is nice and has a big screen. I always think a laptop should be portable, so this one fits the glove. Speakers are not the best, but you can just plug in your earphones. It doesn't come with programs for presentations or whatnot. You have to get Microsoft/iWork/etc. on your own (iWork is only $60). It's good for school and it let's me so my web surfing smoothly. Definitely a good laptop!

The MacBook Pro has done everything I have asked so far. I am still on the learning curve, but I am enjoying its capabilities and its portability. I have managed to install software I am comfortable with, and expect to do much much more.

Fast, quick, typical of my past MacBooks. I always prefer computer purchases from Best Buy rather than the Apple Store. Best Buy is cheaper, better customer service + points.

I purchased this Mac Book for my daughter Yum Yum for her B-day. She loves it. She goes everywhere with it, they are two in one. She watches movies, plays games, makes her own videos. I have hardly seen her since I purchased it for her.

My daughter and niece received the 2011 version of the mac book pro and are still using it to this date. It has taken them all the way through college without a problem. Hopefully my niece will get the same usage. Great product.

This is my second Macbook. They're are expensive, but they're reliable, they sync/work well with my other Apple products, and I love them. If you got the money, spend it on a Macbook.

Great lap top . Perfect size and easy to carry Back and forth to classes . My older daughter had had the Mac book pro for three years and has had zero problems with it I would recommend if u have high school or college students

This replaced my husband's old MacBook which he had for years - new one works great - good value. Nice this model comes with CD drive.

I purchased the Mac book to replace a 6 year old Dell which served me vey well. When I went through the selection process, I was looking for a laptop that was lighter weight and improved speed. I was not impressed with the look and feel of W8 and I wanted a laptop with an internal DVD, which most of the new Ultra-Books were missing. The Mac OS has taken a little while to get used to, but so far I am very happy with my new Mac Book Pro

I love MacBook Pro computers! I had a MacBook Pro for approximately four years before I replaced it with this one and had no problems. I could be a cheerleader for this product!

My daughter just loves it . Its lightweight and easy to carry around. Easy to maneuver the programs . Charges quickly. Powers up with no problems.

I had a MAC for 6 years and it would have lasted longer if I had been more careful with it. I loved it so much and used it for my entire college career and more. After I crashed my computer (liquid incident) I tried going with an HP to save some money, but after only having the other computer for 5 days, I decided it was totally worth it to get the MAC. When I went to the store, I knew exactly what I wanted and didn't have any questions. The guy who helped me was awesome and offered me an open box MAC to save some money. I am so glad he did! I am forever a MAC user and am grateful for BEST BUY for their employees and great prices!

You really can't go wrong with a Mac. Resolution and speed are excellent. Works really well. No complaints!

After looking at all laptop options, the MacPro Book was well worth the price. Easy to use , fast processor and graphics are great. Will look to buy another for our other children.

I've asked around about the best computer to get and all responses were to get the apple mac book pro. I got it and love it. Once you get a mac, you will always want a mac.
