I love this laptop. It's a bit smaller than my previous laptops and always have had Windows PC's so took a little adjustment getting used to menus and formats. But very user friendly so didn't take long to get things set up, and there's always so much help through Apple Care. I was even able to transfer my favorites and contacts from my Windows PC. Everything works so smooth. When I replace my Windows desktop it's going to be the iMac for sure.

This laptop is super great, the battery life, the features! This is just what I was looking for, it sure will make the rest of my years in college easier.

This is a nice computer and affordable! I will be using this, primarily for film purposes, since I am breaking into the film industry. Leisure time is fun on it and it's very fast! Best Buy offers great services and shipping was fast. The computer was packaged nicely. I just recently bought an IPad Mini to pair with it. They both pair very nicely together. I will always get my equipment from Best Buy! Great quality and savings!

This is a great computer that I got at a great price. My educator discount from Apple didn't come close to the Best Buy price. I would recommend this computer to anyone!

First time using a mac, so there was a little learning curve, Fairly intuitive once you start exploring functionality. Like that all my devices (phone, iPad) all sync together.

The best thing about mac is I dont have to worry about the specs. It just works great from the the onset. It goes to show why apple is the best in laptop and mobile tech

I love it! Great price for it too! I have wanted a MacBook Pro forever and this was the best deal I've ever found! The specs and graphics on the laptop are great. I love the backlit keyboard and that it still so sleek even with the CD+DVD drive. Very lite and would be perfect for any on the go student. I especially like it for my photography classes it's screen clarity and resolution is perfect! A+++.

This is my first Mac and it's the best computer I've ever owned. After taking a free Apple MacBook workshop class I found that using this device is simplicity at it's finest.

I've always been a Mac guy, so when I was looking to replace my iMac with a laptop this computer was on the shortlist. I feel that you get the most bang for you buck on this computer. It still has a optical drive so I can burn movies onto DVD (yes, I still do that). Plus it has a 500GB hard drive. To get the same storage space on the newer Macbook Pro it is a $700 price difference. Sure it has a retina screen, but since I don't use this as a media device to watch movies, that wasn't a dealbreaker. Overall, if you want to get a really good Mac computer without shelling out a lot of money, this is the one to get.

I bought this for my son for college and he is very pleased with the performance and its relative lightweight and portability.

I love the extremely quick start up on this laptop. I am used to waiting for 10 minutes before using my old desktop computer, so i was amazed when I hit the power button and it was ready to go. The machine itself is very sleek looking and everything runs very smooth. So far, no complaints.

I was replacing my old apple laptop. Yes Mac's are more expensive...but they are worth it. For example, the laptop I replaced (Mac Powerbook G5) I bought in Jan 2005 and it still works to this day...but it was finally time for a speed upgrade. Mac products are built well...continue to be "upgradeable" for years, are supported for years...and are built to last and function well...FOR YEARS! Definitely worth the investment in my opinion.

Both people I gave the Mac books to, took them out of the box, plugged them in and off they went. Not a moment of problem or confusion ... And neither had Macs before.

My daughter will be in high school next year. The Macbook works well for school. Her Macbook is light, portable, and versatile for her specific computer needs. She loves it!

I bought this for one of my kids who is in college. I was able to get a student discount, which brought the price down comparable to a PC, but it was still on the expensive side. The Best Buy representative who helped us was extremely helpful - more so than the rep at the Apple Store we visited prior to going to Best Buy. The MacBook Pro is light weight, has a great display, is easy to use, and best of all it made my kid extremely happy.
